For Chinas Communist Party leaders, the countrys first sex theme park proved to be a G-string too far.
Within hours of a nationwide blaze of publicity for the park featuring over-sized statues of naked genitalia and how-to workshops, the bulldozers moved in to raze Love Land. The park had been set to open in October in the southwestern city of Chongqing.
Among the first displays to fall victim to the wrecking ball was a rotating signboard with the parks name straddled by a giant pair of womens legs topped by a red thong.

Now where will they put the tribute to Bill Clinton?
Okay...I’ll be the first to say this thread is worthless without photos ; )
No three years of enviro lawsuits; the Chines don’t f**k around, LOL.
Wow! That's going to take one heck of a phallic symbol! Those Chinese are so clever.
This ‘symbol’ of love can now be placed on the campus of Notre Dame.
Why do I think that the name "Chongqing" is about to enter the American slang lexicon?
“how-to workshops,”
Copying our sex ed educational system I see.
No they don’t. I like that about them. They see a problem, then deal with it.
And they don’t mind getting their hands dirty.
Mr. Lu is in deep doo-doo now. He’s probably on their government watch list, which, I guess, is better than the alternative. This definitely shows how far some are willing to push the boundaries. One of the most popular radio shows in Shanghai presently is a sex and relationship program. My cousin tells me feng-shui masters are now advising people on investments. Caveat emptor, folks!
Thirty years ago during my first visit, all these folks would have been thrown in prison. China has a long way to go politically but it’s definitely moving in the right direction. Militarily? I’m worried about the PLA and Party hierarchy. Had Zhao Zhiyang, the Party reformer, had his way in 1989, things would probably look quite different politically and geo-politically.
Gotta be the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard ...
What is interesting is that the Chinese allowed the park to be nearly complete before moving in.
It sounds like they were trying to make someone lose a boatload of cash.
Well, hopefully, if this gets off the ground, the hookers won’t be working drunk. Since we paid for a $2.6 million education program to ensure this doesn’t happen, I’d hate for this “investment”, as Obama would call it, go to waste.
The theme park I mean, not your comment
How can a country get powerful if it doesn’t open its mind?”
Or its legs?......
With well over a billion people, I'd say they've opened their legs enough.
