Tea Party at the Capitol Tuesday Fellow Illinois Citizens,

This is the final message we'll be sending out about the Taxpayer Tea Party happening in Springfield tomorrow (May 19th, 2009). With this in mind, please make sure you read the entire message to ensure you know the details and, if possible, can take part in the Springfield protest.

As mentioned in our previous message, Governor Quinn and his greedy tax hiking friends in the Illinois House are attempting to push a huge tax increase onto Illinois citizens. This increase would raise the state income tax by 50% and gouge us with a $99.00 vehicle tag tax.

Apparently, Quinn and the rest of his ilk missed the memo. You know, the one that included details about how bad the economy is, how many Americans are losing their jobs, how many small businesses are having a hard time staying afloat, and how most of us here in Illinois are struggling to live under the heavy tax burden across the state.

Tomorrow Illinois taxpayers will have the opportunity to make our voices heard. Join us at the State Capitol to protest Quinn's proposed tax hikes and make sure they know we mean business.

DETAILS: DATE: May 19th, 2009 - Tuesday TIME: 1:00 PM - 2:00 (ET of closure)

If you need a ride, there are buses being organized that will drive down to Springfield from Chicago. Contact Joe Miller for more information on the bus trip.

Finally, we'll be putting together a campaign to slam the phone lines over the next two weeks, so be on the lookout for the news on that front.

Governor Quinn just put out the doomsday budget, 1/2 the Illinois State Police will be cut, 15,000 teachers, and release thousands of inmates. .

This is typical blackmail stategy, threaten cuts you will never make to scare people to give up they're money.

Quinn has went from gadfly to Mayor Daley stooge in 3 1/2 months.

Dog-on! I’ll be in Springfield Wednesday.

Don’t buy into the scare tactics by Quinn. As a typical
statist he helped bloat the budget, killing private
business.

Illinois has had a net loss of population over the past 10yrs And is one of the lowest growth states in the Union.

Mayor “Chuckie” as John Kass (Tribune) names King Richard
Daly has gone beserk with parking fees, traffic ticket fees etc. The King is plundering the populace.

The Democrat philosophy is people for the good of the government, screw individual rights.
