Kennedy's cancer in remission By Alexander Bolton and Michael Sandler Posted: 05/19/09 02:44 PM [ET] Sen. Edward Kennedys brain cancer is in remission and the Massachusetts Democrat is expected back in the Senate after the Memorial Day recess, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Sen. Reid (D-Nev.) said Tuesday that he spoke with Kennedys wife and was told the 77-year-old lawmaker will return to work full time during the first week of June.

It often is a wonder, isn’t it? I guess, that because Satan knows he has little time, he keeps his best workers around. God has an abundance of workers, so some he spares the misery. I know this seems backwards the way the world is going, but think about this, the church triumpant is full of the righteous. The prayer of the righteous man availeth much. There is no more righteous person than a saint in heaven praying like a warrior with the legions of angels for us, the church militant.
It also is a part of Gods plan, even though we cannot possibly comprehend it now when tragedy stikes a person we love. For whatever reason, when all things work for the glory of God, sometimes we don’t realize the faith it builds, strengthens or causes in those whom God has chosen. While I still suffer from some losses in my recent past, I live with the comfort of knowing not that they are in a better place, but a better position to help me through their prayers at the throne of God in their glory. So sorry for your loss, and remember, Kennedy is being supernaturally kept here, but not by your King, but his king so it is of no avail.
I wish him well and hope he retires.
God has a plan for all.
Perhaps the Almighty keeps sending him back thinking, “He’ll get it this time, for sure!”
I’m guessing that Wanda Sykes didn’t make any jokes about Ted Kennedy’s health or addictions or scandals....
Note to self: buy more aluminum foil.
You're far more generous than I am.
That POS will never retire.
I better stop there.
Since we’re on the subject of health care, Congress and Kennedy I’d like to point out a fact unreported here:
The current health care bill, the one that would create govt health care for all, currently being tossed about in Congress would be named after Senator Kennedy. Its ironic that the very health care system that would bear his name would not apply to anyone in the House or Senate. They have their own special version. I wonder if they’ll also have their care rationed b/c of age, political class etc like they intend to do to us? I wonder if they pay for theirs or its just a perk you and I give them? Just asking....
It’s a good thing he didn’t drown in a car. There’s no remission from that.
but Mary Jo Kopechne’s affliction still remains terminal.
“I guess that government run healthcare works”
Could be the 100 proof, perhaps it is (in sufficient quantities) as effective as kemo therapy.
Mary Jo Kopechne will just have to wait a little longer for the reunion.
i say he got treatment none of us would ever havew access to......
In other news... millions of innocent babies have their cancer-free brains sucked out of their heads every day in America thanks to the legislation Sen. Kennedy has promoted and voted for.
First ever instance of a cancer overwhelmed by a greater cancer (Teddy’s brain!)
They need him, or his name, for some big push and don’t want his capacity or reliability questioned.
So a late-stage glioma goes into remission, through the magic of journalism and PR.
Remission isn’t an appropriate term to use in regards to solid tumors, like brain, breast, colon. You either have cancer from a solid tumor or you don’t have evidence of disease..aka cure till proven otherwise.
‘wait a little longer for the reunion.”
Your making the assumption that he get’s past St. Peter?
