Hell no, let the sicko limp along for a while.
We need the empty chair on these close votes.
Just remember he got the best care available. A hell of a lot better than you or I could expect.
Nah, she’ll just wave to him from behind the gate:)
I do not wish him well and have nothing good to say about him!!!!
Didn’t dear ol’ dad, Joe, have one of his daughters lobotomized because he couldn’t manipulate her — Rosemary, I think? She never killed anyone, as far as I know.
Wonderful family, the Kennedys. /sarc
Yep, it took Kennedy 36 years to get 'er done

There won’t be a reunion. Ted won’t be headed in the same direction.
“Does it ever make you wonder if they have access to something us plebes dont?”
Actually, Kennedy’s “dirty little secret” is that he relied on the US health care system: notwithstanding his support of single payer health care, when it came to HIS health, Senator Kennedy flew to Duke University Medical Center for treatment rather than fly the much smaller distance to Canada. His treatment was no different than that given any other patient with the identical condition, so it’s not that he got special treatment: it’s simply a reflection of the high quality of American medical care. It’s the same reason Tom Daschle’s brother came to Duke rather than fly the shorter distance into Canada. Daschle too supports a single-payer system, yet you didn’t see him trying to talk his brother out of finding the best medical care in the world within the U.S.
Hypocrisy aside, that was a smart move on the Senator’s part, since the US is a world leader in cancer survival rates (http://www.ciaonet.org/wps/aei/0016233/index.html).
Likewise, notwithstanding all the handwringing you see in the US press about our abysmal global ranking on life expectancy, we actually lead the world in life expectancy once you account for the much higher rate of deaths due to violence in this country (murders, suicides, auto accidents). http://politicalcalculations.blogspot.com/2007/09/natural-life-expectancy-in-united.html
“Kennedy’s cancer in remission”
However, the malignancy he has helped foist on freedom-loving, taxpaying Americans grows unabated.
Sure, I’d feel bad for him if the news were gov’t was in remission and Kennedy were not - but not as bad as if it were just about anyone else.
I wonder if the average american can get the same medical tratment under his desired govt plan
I honestly believe that God allows some folks to remain here longer than others because for those folks who are destined to take the DOWN car when they close their eyes for the last time, THIS is AS GOOD AS IT GETS. Eternity is a LOOONNNNG, LOOOOONNNG TIME.
That thought makes it easier for me to deal with why reprobates like this murderous fat drunk are still here.
But, of course, none of us know any of that for certain and we’re not supposed to this side of the sod.
I’m glad to hear that Mr. Kennedy is doing well.
Now step down, you murdering bastard.
How the hell did that happen? There’s no remission from the type of cancer he had, is there? That one made a deal at the crossroads at midnight, that’s what I think.
“In other news... millions of innocent babies have their cancer-free brains sucked out of their heads every day in America thanks to the legislation Sen. Kennedy has promoted and voted for”
You would think that Senator Kennedy, with his catholic background, would be considering his mortality about now ... haven’t seen any evidence of it. George Wallace, on the other hand, become a changed and very humble man in his last years.
Wrong. Ted Kennedy was in the operating room within days of his diagnosis, whereas I had to wait more than five months after mine, am suffering permanent damage because of the delay. It wasn't his government plan that got him in so quick, he was bumped to the head of the line because his name is KENNEDY.
He most certainly DID receive preferential treatment.
President Robert Byrd. Now THAT would be a hoot. Would they invoke the 25th amendment like they did that time on 24?
Didn’t I read this earlier as:
Kennedy’s career in remission?
Makes no difference he didn’t have a brain to begin with.
You are assuming that he will end up where she is.
That is God's call. I make no judgement other than the one time I rubbed elbows with him, in a men's room at Logan after a flight from DC, he was so drunk he took five minutes to get his tallywhacker out to do his business.
