Well just call me a bat then.

Its not ready because most Americans are not ready.

Its not marriage. Its shacking up under another name
and no amount of accusatory finger pointing and name
calling ‘bigots and homophobes’ will change that.

There, fixed it.

“Republican Staff Choice Shows GOP Isn’t Ready to Move Forward on Gay Marriage”

Gay marriage is not a “Move Forward”, its a move toward perversion.

If you support gay marriage, you MUST support adult incest and polygamy. Think not? Give me something in support of the former that does not equally support the latter.

No government in the history of this world, has legitimized homosexuality, to my knowledge.

It seems the United States might have good standing to retain it’s stance on the issue.

Duh!

The vocal activist butt boys just can’t accept the reality of it.

wrote a blog post last month in which he linked same-sex marriage to pedophilia,

You mean it's not the same thing? Oh, it's a different kind of depravity? Maybe you protest too much, and the difference is really just a matter of degrees.

All of these comments presuppose that homosexual “marriage” is a popular issue, and that the GOP is somehow hurting itself by (weak) opposition.

How come, then, every time it gets voted on, it loses?

Popular issues are winning issues. Homosexual “marriage” always loses, EVEN IN CALIFORNIA.

What am I missing?

“Move forward” here is liberalese for “give up. We’re on the right side and you have to agree with us.” There does seem to be a cottage industry these days in liberal media land in pontificating to Republicans what actions they must take to...well, to what? The very last thing people such as the author want is for the Republicans to start winning elections. Thanks for the input, though.

Great! Why would the GOP want to pander to the side supported by only 30% of the American people?

Oh, I see. So now being against butt-sex marriage should keep you off the staff of a Republican senator?

Steve, you and Bonnie Erbe can go find a feculent cave to go haunt together.

Bonnie Erbe was a Hillary supporter....

I can remember when my dad had US News and World Report in his office lobby in the 60s and it was a conservative staid magazine...

The new chief Republican counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee wrote a blog post last month in which he linked same-sex marriage to pedophilia, according to a Web site that has since been taken down.

They source a website that has since been taken down? What?

Yeah and we’ll stay opposed to perversion. Call it a cave but we’ll call it appropriate sexual boundaries that have been violated with impunity and attempted to have been normalized.

Guess what? I heard a medical doctor in the military state it put it succinctly and nonjudgmentally: The human excretory system was not designed for that kind of activity. Period. No amount of moral indignation or social pressure can surmount that biological fact.
