Some years ago when my electric company enclosed a brochure to support a startup of a solar power plant I wistfully looked at it for a while.

Howbeit since I'm already very GREEN in my personal environmental efforts plus I dont have enough left-over GREENBACKS after paying my bills and the fact that the solar plant would be in the other side of my state made me think it was all a political ploy.

On further thinking over the years it very plain to me that the huge drawback that practically all these GREEN energy have in common are: 1) they are almost 100% vulnerable to the weather 2) since they are mostly exposed to the environment they pose as a huge target for any would be terrorist attack, 3) they do not produce energy 100% of the time (see reason 1), 4) the cost per kilowatt is 2-20x more expensive than the proven existing oil & coal burning technologies.
