Duh! Everyone with a brain knows it’s just a way to get government more involved or otherwise funnel money to liberals.

Never cared for U2 anyway, even before I learned what a pompous ass Bono is.

More from the culture of the touchy-feey, image conscious. Youth always know better....even when the youth is a 50yo rock star.

Folks, no one expects any one energy source to be the one and only. Sure wind stops and the sun goes down or behind a cloud, and tides turn and waves stop and coal plants and nuclear plants shut down every time there is a mechanical problem or it is time for their periodic overhaul.
Overhauling a coal or nuclear plant, required periodically by law at least for nuclear plants, can shut them down for months on end, and often does. A crack in a pipe or a failed weld can shut them down with no warning for months of overhaul, inspection and rescertification.
This is why we are using many forms of energy and flowing it all into the grid. Wind and solar, ocean and river currents, waves and tides. Now we are starting to build plants that take our garbage and sewer sludge, farm manures and factory wastes and gassify it into a synthetic gas for generating electricity that feeds the grid. These waste materials can also be made into crude oil and refined into gasoline and diesel fuel, farm fertilizers and industrial chemicals by the thousands.
All these efforts and resources are building factories and employing hundreds of thousands of Americans today in good paying technical jobs. The millions of dollars in taxes from these energy plants and their suppliers build schools and communities all across America, and it all comes from buying made in America goods and services.
We need to support Made in America energy, not fight it.

No environmentalist would ever allow their child to be treated in a hospital fully powered by renewables. They would not take the risk that the wind might stop whilst their baby was on the operating table. They would insist that the hospital and the life support systems had a fossil fuel powered back-up.
Okay then, here's a solution to that. And I offer it for free to the Obama administration and to the democrats.
The backup power system, in a hospital or in any other critical service, can be people. People power. Specifically, pedal power. So, if a the primary power system goes out, the pedal power can be started up almost immediately.
There would always have to be, on-site, a number of people ready to go on a moments notice. They would have to be on the "ready" position on some sort of pedal power which can be converted to electricity.
That "system" would be another great way for Obama and the democrats to claim a lot of "renewal" jobs creation. Imagine if all hospitals had a crew of perhaps 20, 30 or 40 people on staff whose only job would be to pedal for power. Multiply that by perhaps some 10,000 hospitals and clinics and you end up with between 200,000 to 400,000 new jobs for the hospital system alone.
If pedal and rowing power was good enough for the Vikings, then it should be good enough for renewal energy jobs. The only problem with that would be the pollution from body odor and the heavy breathing which would cause huge amounts of CO2. But, hey, they could ignore the CO2 and just concentrate of the "jobs creation" part.

Bono is a big mouthed tightwad.
And will someone P-L-E-A-S-E give him some shampoo as a present. His head is a mobile Petri Dish. God only knows what's living in his hair.

Bonobo...
that sounds appropriate enough.
Those tre the chimps in the jungle who use sex all the time to solve all their conflicts. They have sex without "thinking" of the consequences.
Bono and liberals and socialists only do what feels good without thinking of the consequences.

Environmentalists are textbook hypocrits. They ALL proclaim “Do as I say, NOT as I do!” (see Algore and Leonardo DiCaprio, Babs Streisand, Prince Charlie, et al).
