California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday he's heard "loud and clear" a voter message to take care of deficits through budget cuts alone, without passing additional costs along to them.

Voters on Tuesday resoundingly rejected Schwarzenegger's package of budget-balancing measures that he promised would temporarily fix the state's financial crisis.

Instead, he now faces a $21.3 billion budget deficit.

I think this is the first I’ve ever heard of one Terminator taking out an entire state.

This is great. I sure hope California doesn’t get a damn bailout of some kind from taxpayers, because I’d just love to see how this plays out without one.

AAArnold ... get rid of ALL spending for illegals and all spending for squishy feely departments. Make the state ATTRACTIVE to business. The STUPID greeny laws and the EXCESSIVE taxes have driven businesses out of the state to greener pastures. California will NEVER be solvent as long as the state continues along the destructive and counter-productive business oppressive path.

Hey Ah-nuld. What's a measly $21 billion amongst friends not born in this country. You know where to go begging. And it's a lot easier than doing the job you promised to do when you were elected.

With the deficits, California's first-born are already sold into slavery.

And the second-born...and the third-born...

But that's just the ones who escaped the womb vacuum.

Isn’t it the legislature that has refused to cut costs? And now the SEIU also?

I guess it’s every man for himself.

“Cuts”, eh?

If I had a vote in California the “voter message” ArnRoid would hear would be for wholesale AMPUTATIONS from the engorged carcass of Golden State government.

I guess he didn't listen to himself when he made the promise to do just that when he was elected Governor.

>> California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday he's heard "loud and clear" <<

Arnie made the same statement in 2005 about how he "heard voters loud and clear" and "learned his lesson" about trying to "reform" the state through costly special elections with badly-written proportions. Obviously he didn't "learn his lesson" or yesterday's election blowout wouldn't have occurred.

I would have thought he’d heard the voter’s anger when CA voters ousted Davis. Instead he became Davis on Steroids (I guess old habits are hard to break). Being married to a member of the Kennedy clan, and spending time with those socialistic morons has obviously infested his brain with lunacy.

So prepare yourself for new taxes fees. :)

My thoughts exactly.

The Socialists need to get their comeuppance and it needs to be very painful.

But you know, federal money from the rest of the country will be shortly on it way to bail out the great collectivist leader state. That is until the effects of Atlas Shrugged finally shut down even the federal gift wagon.
