Boy, I hope nobody had to resort to waterboarding to get info leading to these arrests.

It would be better to have people dead in the synagogues than to....

Hm.

“Boy, I hope nobody had to resort to waterboarding to get info leading to these arrests.”

I will add that I sure hope none of the suspects were kicked in the head while being arrested. That would offend the many Libs (probably some whose lives were saved) and certain anti-cop Freepers posting on this site.

If they used coercive methods against these Muslim suspects then there would be no case against them to prosecute.
Any info discovered thru torture even indirectly would be a ‘poisoned seed’.
They could be arrested but not indicted, certainly not placed on trial.

I was listening to a recent recording by Cincinnati talk show host Mike McConnell who was talking with an anti-"torture" caller. McConnell, who supports enhanced interrogation for certain situations, asked the caller what he'd do if a person was holding his family hostage and would kill them for certain unless rough tactics were used on a member of the terrorist group. The guy responded that he still wouldn't use "torture" even if it meant the death of his family. Or even large numbers of people.

McConnell called him immoral for letting his family and large numbers of people die for his mistaken beliefs. And he told the guy to go tell his family what he would do for them in case the above situation occurred. Tbe guy cheerfully agreed to do so. These are the kind of idiots we have in this country.

If you'd read the story you'd see that they didn't resort to anything but good, old fashioned police work.
