2 Arrested After Plastic Gun Found at Pelham (NH) High School

PELHAM, N.H. -- Two Pelham High School students were arrested Wednesday and charged with false public alarm after police found a plastic cap gun in a locker, officials said.
Pelham High School was put on lockdown and Pelham police were called after school officials received a report of a handgun in the building before noon. Some parents went to the school after getting text messages from their children.
"I didn't think anything. I just flew down here because I heard the SWAT team was down here," said parent Lisa Tracy.
News 9's Kria Sakakeeny said a 15-year-old and 16-year-old were led out of the building in handcuffs before being put into a cruiser shortly after 1 p.m.

Some kids will do anything to get out of class. I think the end of the school year was when a lot of the stuff happened when I was in school. I can just imagine the reaction to to a stink bomb at general assembly or a cherry bomb flushed down the toilet.

Way back in school, I accidentally turned on a metronome while shoving a bunch of stuff in my locker. The principal and a couple of teachers came and got me out class and took me to my locker, where there was the metronome ticking away.
Kind of embarrassing, but no SWAT team, no arrest, no lockdown, no punishment. Of course, this was back when there were deer rifles in trucks in the parking lot, and every guy carried a pocketknife.

So then, shouldn’t it be the kid that thought it was real and set the alarm that should be charged with “false public alarm”?
