What makes you think I like Romney? He's better than Jorge. He's better than McCain. He's better than B.O. That's doesn't say much. And neither does Coulter's endorsement of Romney.

I don't suffer from Romney Derangement Syndrome so I can't speak for the deranged other than to say I don't understand why the preference of Romney over the very sad field of remaining candidates at the time all of a sudden makes you "anti-" all of the things you were "pro-" the previous day.

As a pure generalization, I'm not "pro" on Republicans any longer after the stinking bailout and takeover of the Country by the "government"...maybe that's the problem.

I see a serious totalitarian, incestuous relationship between them (R's) and their so called opposites.

For them to team up in this manner is detrimental to my Liberty. It's purely a self preservation thing. I don't like commies with an R or a D. Call me picky...I don't like being used.

He’s talking about the fact that Ann is a Mitt supporter. On O’Reilly just last night, she listed him as a conservative who we could all rally behind in 2012. I love Ann, but she’s losing me with that one. I don’t get the blindspot she has for him. I’ll never vote for Mitt.

As for this column, Alan’s being a dope. All she is saying is that the actions of Notre Dame do nothing but drive people to the pro-life cause. She’s not saying he is some kind of fraud who is financially benefitting from his actions, but that he has picked up support by people grateful for his taking a stand.

I don’t blame you. I’ve been anti-Bush since 2002 - before it was cool. Just haven’t been very vocal about it on FR or around liberals.

"On O’Reilly just last night, she listed him as a conservative who we could all rally behind in 2012."

I saw that.

For sure the Republican "elites" and Hartards are starting the Mitt campaign very early. They can barely wait to pay their minions to plant brainwashing seeds on the peon sheep.

This is going to be an openly commie elite European oligarchy controlled country by 2012....

but the "r's" can blame it on the "d's" who are really just rd's".

Isn't it just the best scheme ever? NOT.

Arrogant selfish totalitarians, the lot of them. At least they could have come up with something original, they are plagerizing all of this from the French.

It's kinda sad to see that Alan Keys doesn't "get" Anne Coulter to the extent that he has to go off on her like this.

(I removed his last "e" from Keye's name and put it on Ann's first name. It seems only fair)

It doesn't speak well for his understanding of satire, humor or creative ways of making a point.

That Coulter didn't talk about him in the column after using his name in the title(he is kind of a public figure) in the title seems to have upset him to the point that he just had to berate her in several ways and it only serves to make him look a little insecure.

His "impression" of her intent are off base because again, he didn't take time to absorb her true "intent" and lacks discernment of the subtle nuances of humor and satire.

His digs at her pro life stance are way over the top.

Are you the "friend?"

Now in regards to my personnal view of Ann.....I have not really taken her various serious after she foolishly endorsed Romney.

Was it ALSO in the same contrarian, satiristic vein?

I don’t think it was her intention to denigrate Dr. Keyes in any way.

Is this really the appropriate word?

“Was it ALSO in the same contrarian, satiristic vein?”

No, for some strange reason she really supported him. I wonder if she is a closet mormon?

“Is this really the appropriate word?”

It means to “blacken someone’s character” and has nothing to do with race or skin color. Your humor is appreciated though.

Alan Keyes is really this sloppy? He doesn’t know how to spell Ann’s name correctly?

Sorry, I am no fan of Ann Coulter. I find her to be an embarrassment — a crude, rude and obnoxious woman who probably does more harm than good for our causes."

Crude - I'd say Blunt - as when she speaks the truth rawly compared to softening the truth of, for instance, the horrific murdering of babies every day, so that it 'doesn't offend' the lie-givers

Rude - I'd say not tolerant on every talk show she goes on against 1 to 8 staunchly opposing/foaming at the mouth abortionists or blatant Liberals who are so used to spewing the lies as if it's the defacto truth - and just cutting them off in the middle of the typical lies because it's such a con they're stating. (example of con-job - Satan in Garden of Eden: "Did God really say you would die???"

Obnoxious - I'd say - similar to previous point - she doesn't suffer fools who are trying to call good evil and evil good.

I'm a man, and no I don't find Coulter's anorexia to be especially attractive. She needs a little more meat on her bones, frankly. Hey Ann, try eating a sandwhich every now and again -- does a body good.

Maybe you should consider that not every conservative appreciates Coulter's antics. I find they lower the bar of reasoned public debate and create a sideshow out of serious issues.

If you like her, think she's funny -- good for you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm not a fan. So sue me.

Coulter's modus operandi is bitter sarcasm and hyperbole. A lot of people (obviously) enjoy it and find it to be humorous -- and I admit, I take some joy in her attacks on liberals -- which is one reason her books have sold so well.

However, have you considered why Coulter gets SO MUCH ATTENTION from the mainstream media, compared to other conservative pundits who may comparably present a more compelling face of conservativism? I'd like to suggest the MSM is using her as a weapon against conservatism, to create an image in the public which is in actuality a negative caracature of conservative attitudes. Just consider that possibility. I can't prove it, but I have my suspicions.

Compare for example Ann Coulter to Dinesh D'Souza. He is just as impassioned and much sharper and acute intellectually without the sarcasm and hyperbole. But he doesn't get the attention Ann gets. Why? Well, he comes across as a highly intelligent, well-reasoned debater. Just watch his debates with Hitchens and Daniel Dennett. He's amazing. Why is he not invited on The View, but Ann is? Think about it.

I just didn't want to appear niggardly in being able to use descriptive words.

I might point out that the only ones fighting against it were Republicans. Take the base we have and build on it.
