And while he was, he transformed the city and life in it utterly, in a markedly conservative direction, and he did things that everyone, me included, thought were impossible.
Unlike most politicians, he said what he was going to do, and then he did it.
If America had heard 70 days of speeches like Rudy gave at the convention, Obama would not be President today, and the catastrophe which we now have to endure would have been prevented.
Too bad, too bad. Oh, too bad!
And it looks like the same 6 or 7 Giuliani haters came out from under their respective rocks to post the very same anti Rudy comments that were seen way before the election. They act just like the psycho in N.Y. Hmmmm.
Don't blame me, I voted for Palin with McPain as a necessary evil.
A lot of Freepers don't like Rudy because he's not as conservative as they would like, missing that a real conservative would not get elected in NYC. In NYC, moderate Dems run as Republicans, because the NYC Dem party is dominated by Trotskyites. That's how it is. Ed Koch was the last moderate Dem that could be elected there.
I have a lot of respect for Rudy. He pulled NYC out of the downward spiral that Dinkins put it in.
