Rather and his 60 MINUTES producer coordinated with Kerry campaign officials as the Bush Texas Air Guard story was cobbled together. This unethical relationship was exposed in the CBS internal investigation of the episode. Copies of the Bush “records” were offered to Kerry's people by Rather. Kerry's campaign had already received copies from the same crackpot who scammed Rather. Kerry's advisers recognized the “documents” immediately as a third-rate fraud. But they let Rather walk off the cliff, hoping the 60 Minutes story might damage Bush for a while before Rather was exposed as a halfwit in a $700 suit.

I have wondered how many left wingers like Kerry would have gone to Congress if Follywood had not made the Nam war into a senseless and Anti American event. How many lefties lied about serving in Nam and wore military surplus clothes with the peace symbols sewed on or painted on and got elected locally to nationally with their bs like Moi Kerry.
