Don't fall for the panoply of lies about homosexuality

Does it take a published scientific paper to prove that those who practice homosexual behavior can change? For those who doubt that change can or even should be a goal, but are still open-minded enough to consider the possibility that homosexuals can indeed come out from a lifestyle of habitual self-destructive obsessive-compulsive behavior, please consider the following information.

The 65 or so TV characters, who portray friendly, sympathetic, clean-cut, and sanitized homosexuals, work hard to persuade us that accepting homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle is necessary to our well-being as a civil society. However, without knowing the truth about homosexuality, we end up going along with the noisiest voices who have worked tirelessly to keep us in the dark about the problems inherent in this lifestyle.

In the book, "After the Ball," published in 1989, authors Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen offer a plan to change America's thinking about homosexuality. They describe in detail the sophisticated, psychological conditioning techniques of desensitization, "jamming," and finally, conversion (pp. 148- 154).

The authors describe conversion "of the average American's emotions, mind, and will, through a planned psychological attack in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media" (p.153).

Their "conversion" is actually subversion, which they admit. In other words, the American public has been purposely deceived about the truth of homosexuality in order to convert our thinking from truth to acceptance of a panoply of lies. The goal of applying these techniques is to deceive the general public about the truths of homosexuality. The authors admit on p.154 that "it makes no difference that the ads are lies..." They also admit that "our effect is achieved without reference to facts, logic, or proof" (p. 153).

This very successful strategy of conditioning has been employed for 20 years by a few homosexual militants and is one major reason why learning the truth about homosexuality today can be so difficult. The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, NARTH, has also acknowledged the difficulty in disseminating the truth about the homosexual lifestyle. In their online article entitled "Efforts to Silence NARTH Continue," Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D., writes "in this age of 'openness and tolerance,' NARTH still finds it remarkably difficult to reach members of the healing professions with information and inquiries."

With a little effort, the non-politicized truth about the consequences of homosexual behavior can still be found. For starters, read Getting It Straight: What the Research Shows About Homosexuality, published by the Family Research Council in 2004. This book answers questions about homosexuality that are often suppressed or ignored, giving the specific research articles that support the conclusions.

Keep reading in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Oxford University's International Journal of Epidemiology, and even the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, to learn that homosexuals as a group have much higher rates of HIV-AIDS, cancer, and hepatitis than the general population. In fact, did you know that AIDS was first called GRID, Gay-Related Immune Disorder? Did you know that homosexuals as a group have a shorter lifetime expectancy than the general population by 8 to 20 years?

Note that these health problems result from homosexual behavior itself and not just a perceived lack of social acceptance. If we included psychological problems, the list of harmful consequences of homosexual activity would be even longer. If you'd like to listen to some true-life, first-hand stories, check out the DVD "It's Not Gay."

For those who still doubt that change is possible for people who have either given into or been dragged into homosexuality, watch "Speechless" and listen to the sadness-turned-to-joy story of Christine. Be convinced that homosexuality is most assuredly not an immutable, genetic characteristic.

And finally, how about attending the one-day "Love Won Out" conference just up the road in Grand Rapids on June 13, sponsored by Focus on the Family? (You can register at LoveWonOut.com or call 1-800-232-6459.) Come and hear the evidence as well as the personal stories of Jeff and Alan, speakers for Love Won Out.

Can homosexual behavior and even sexual orientation be changed? Go ask Alan or Jeff or Christine. Can those of us who have been fed propaganda for the last 20 years even consider this possibility? Yes, we can. We can learn the reasons our family members and friends who have been deceived or trapped into this self-destructive lifestyle can and should leave it. And we certainly don't need an official research paper or a behavioral scientist (though these are available) to tell us that true change is possible.

A libertarian isn’t a conservative.

A libertarian is just a confused person who thinks only laws they agree with should be legislated. They have more in common with left wing totalitarians than conservatism.

Who cares? If someone wants to be gay then that’s their business. Just don’t ask me to pay for it or expect me to afford anyone special considerations for it.

You should care, because it is the propaganda that has led to it being forced down your throat, and mine, and being pushed to be taught in grade levels as low as Kindergarten. If that isn't something to care about I don't know what is.

My point is, they won't leave you alone, they will ask you to pay for it and they will want special consideration.

Really? Wanting less government, more liberty and personal accountability isn’t conservative? Demanding that the federal government not spend tax money that doesn’t belong to it isn’t conservative? Or how about demanding that the feds stick to the Constitution? Guess that isn’t being a conservative either. But, demanding that the government dictate morality, social policy and the like is.....

RIIIIIGGGHHHHHTTTT

They are a largely secret society that will destroy anyone professionally or personally who opposes them. They have done this for centuries. Come to think of it, they are not that much different than the rest of the liberals.

Thanks for the post! There is so much scientific data available as it is incredible that the activists can say with a straight face that it doesn’t exist. What they want is to totally pigeon hole anyone who disagrees as quaint religious traditionalists.
