Unreal

If you think that was unreal, check this out:

I'm not sure if I'm breaking any rules, hopefully not, but while surfing on the Long War Journal, I came across a link to Defense Link News quoting General Petraeus saying Detainee Reforms Help. WTF?

We'll he's right in one aspect...no worries about the muzzlims attacking with one of their own in the White House. They'll at least wait till he's out of the country on his tour of his spiritual homeland (middle east).

Must have paid off Lil' Kim well to keep them in line....

I just have this omnipresent, terrifying “gut feeling” that I can NOT ignore.

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse type feeling ?

I am intuitive myself, and sense that one morning we will wake up to a catastrophe, a changed world.

General Jones:

Jones said Obama had enhanced security with his decision to close the Guantanamo Bay war-on-terror camp, with his new strategy of fighting extremism in Afghanistan and Pakistan and in his plan to end the war in Iraq.

Jones also cited Obama's outreach to the Muslim world, including next week's major address in Egypt, renewal of U.S. alliances abroad and his plan to tackle threats as diverse as Iran's nuclear program, climate change and his forthcoming cybersecurity initiative.

responding to Dick Cheney's remarks:

"After the most lethal and devastating terrorist attack ever, seven and a half years without a repeat is not a record to be rebuked and scorned, much less criminalized," Cheney said in a speech to the American Enterprise Institute.

"To the very end of our administration we kept Al Qaeda terrorists busy with other problems.

"We focused on getting their secrets instead of sharing ours with them and on our watch they never hit this country again."

"I am intuitive myself, and sense that one morning we will wake up to a catastrophe, a changed world."

There are three kinds of people, those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who stand there saying "What happened?"

Choices .....choices.....

“In my view, I firmly believe that the United States is not only safe but it will be more secure and the American people are increasingly safer because of the president’s leadership that he has displayed consistently over the last four months, both at home and abroad,” Jones said.”

Whenever people make stupid statements like this, the exact opposite usually occurs in a very short while. Hang on.

"In my view, I firmly believe that the United States is not only safe but it will be more secure and the American people are increasingly safer because of the president's leadership that he has displayed consistently over the last four months, both at home and abroad," Jones said.

Well...from the standpoint that (President-cough) Obama has probably convinced terrorists around the world that he has done a more effective job of destroying America - then they ever could dream of doing - I believe we'll have less external attacks on our shores for awhile. I don't thank the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for this outcome - because the end result is more damage than our Al-Queda friends could ever bring...

"Safer? LOL, it ain't funny."

I wonder if 0bama will have the Secret Service accompanying him on the trip to the Middle East next week. Since they love him SO MUCH do to his outreach to the 'Muslim world', and given how much safer we are, he shouldn't need protection. Right?

He was a political general not a field leadership general promoted on his merits. Active or retired, a politician is still a politician.

Generals are political animals.

As are Admirals or in other words you don't get that high in the food chain without kissing some serious booty.

Note the usual shoddy reportage by the AP. Jones "didn't mention Cheney by name, but his remarks were a clear rejection of the rhetoric of the former vice president".

Huh? Did Jones say that? No. He simply praised his boss and the AP shaped it into the partisan attack they wanted, but didn't get from Jones.

Btw, Gen. Jones is a substantial individual. I am pleased that there is at least one adult in the admin.
