Breaking: US indictment of elected official expected (2pm in Chicago)

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Chicago said it will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. today to announce public corruption charges. Sources say it is expected to be an indictment of an elected official.

As with Clinton, Zero will never get nailed. Clinton didn't have the pajama media watching everything move and referencing past quotes with new quotes. The proliferation of data retention technologies has made it so that every word of a person's public life are recorded somewhere, even the private conversations. Obama will get nailed. No one leaves a pristine trail when carrying garbage.

I'm thinking it could just be the formal charges against Blagojevich. As far as I recall, there never was an indictment, just the arrest.
All this announcement does is get everyone all whipped up for nothing; something Fitzgerald is really good at.

I think Blago was already indicted wasn’t he? I could look this up, but what I remember is that they actually issued an arrest warrant before the indictment, which was highly unusual in these sorts of cases. They dragged him out of his house in handcuffs early in the morning.
Typically, the US attorney will notify the lawyer, and they simply show up in court to receive the indictment.
I could be wrong, though.
