Special Report: The Park Police Station Bombing Case (4.94 MB PDF):

This case was looked into 10 years ago without much success. Perhaps things will be different this time around.

The following is from wikipedia but is well documented...

Sgt. Brian V. McDonnell

"In a bombing that took place on February 16, 1970, and that was credited to the Weathermen at the time,[19][20] a pipe bomb filled with heavy metal staples and lead bullet projectiles was set off on the ledge of a window at the Park Station of the San Francisco Police Department. In the blast, Brian V. McDonnell, a police sergeant, was fatally wounded while Robert Fogarty, another police officer, received severe wounds to his face and legs and was partially blinded.[21]

Weatherman leader Bernardine Dohrn has been suspected of involvement in the February 16, 1970, bombing of the Park Police Station in San Francisco. At the time, Dohrn was said to be living with a Weatherman cell in a houseboat in Sausalito, California, unnamed law enforcement sources later told KRON-TV.[22]

An investigation into the case was reopened in 1999,[23] and a San Francisco grand jury looked into the incident, but no indictments followed,[22] and no one was ever arrested for the bombing.[23]

An FBI informant, Larry Grathwohl, who successfully penetrated the organization from the late summer of 1969 until April 1970, later testified to a U.S. Senate subcommittee that Bill Ayers, then a high-ranking member of the organization and a member of its Central Committee (but not then Dohrn's husband), had said Dohrn constructed and planted the bomb. Grathwohl testified that Ayers had told him specifically where the bomb was placed (on a window ledge) and what kind of shrapnel was put in it. Grathwohl said Ayers was emphatic, leading Grathwohl to believe Ayers either was present at some point during the operation or had heard about it from someone who was there.[24]

In a book about his experiences published in 1976, Grathwohl wrote that Ayers, who had recently attended a meeting of the group's Central Committee, said Dohrn had planned the operation, made the bomb and placed it herself.[25] In 2008, author David Freddoso commented that "Ayers and Dohrn escaped prosecution only because of government misconduct in collecting evidence against them", Freddoso wrote.[24][26]

I watched Rudd talk about his book about the weather underground on C-SPAN last weekend. It seems clear that Dohrn was the leading advoctae of violent actions amongst the leaders.

I watched [Mark] Rudd talk about his book about the weather underground on C-SPAN last weekend.

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"FBI files from 1976, recently made public under the Freedom of Information Act, confirm the connections between Weatherman, Havana, and Moscow. Weatherman leaders like Mark Rudd traveled illegally to Havana in 1968 to engage in terrorist training. There, camps set up by Soviet KGB Colonel Vadim Kotchergine were educating Westerners both in Marxist philosophy and urban warfare."

Washington Post Censors Truth About Bill Ayers

By Larry D. Grathwohl

(Editor's Note: this column by Larry D. Grathwohl, a former FBI informant in the Weather Underground, was written in response to Charles Lane's December 11, 2008, Washington Post column, "The Unreal Bill Ayers. Three Decades After the Weather Underground's End, He's Still Justifying Its Means." This Grathwohl column was rejected for publication by the Washington Post.)

I am Larry Grathwohl and have been acknowledged as the only person to infiltrate the Weather Underground as an informant for the FBI. I offer the following comments and observations regarding the article "The Unreal Bill Ayers" recently published by Charles Lane in the Washington Post.

There isn't much for me to disagree with in the article. I'm not surprised by Bill's unwillingness to allow the terrorism of the Weather Underground to disappear into the historical past. Bill Ayers' ego will not permit that to happen. He has got to legitimize himself and the numerous violent acts of his organization, the Weather Underground. He wants a place as a hero in the legacy of the anti-Vietnam War movement of the 1960's. But the Weather Underground was anything but anti-war. How many times did I hear Bill and Bernardine Dorhn, Bill's wife, say, "Bring the war home…kill your parents."

The bombing of the Police monument during the "National Action" was only a beginning. During the preparations for the "Days of Rage," it was clearly stated that if the police won't attack us, we'll attack them. Bill Ayers knows this and simply chooses to ignore it. Also interesting is that Bill states that the Weather Underground was created after the Townhouse explosion which resulted in the deaths of Ted Gold, Terry Robbins and Diana Oughton.

The decision to go underground was made at the "National Council" meeting in December of 1969. Bill's admission is about two months late and the townhouse blew up while bombs with roofing nails were being created for use at Fort Dix. The purpose of roofing nails was to kill and injure people. Bill Ayers was the Central Committee representative in charge of New York and his claim of not knowing about the nails is not true.

Bill avoids saying anything about his wife's involvement in the bombing of the Park Police station in San Francisco. A police officer was killed in this act of terrorism and Bill told me and others of this while criticizing the cell I was assigned to in Buffalo, New York. Bill Ayers has written in his book "Fugitive Days" and stated in many interviews that the Weather Underground never hurt anyone. Again, Bill is not being truthful and is rewriting history to aggrandize himself and his associates.

The Weather Underground was not an anti-war group. They saw themselves as part of an international revolution with connections in Cuba, China and North Vietnam. They believed they were going to be part of a revolution that would cause the collapse of the United States. Plans for the creation of camps for "re-educating" Americans -- and the elimination of 25 million people -- were discussed with the belief that protecting the NEW order from a counter-revolution justified wholesale murder.

If Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground were just about ending the war in Vietnam then why did they dedicate their political manifesto to Sirhan Sirhan? Robert Kennedy, a leading anti-war leader, was murdered by Sirhan Sirhan in 1968. Prairie Fire was published in 1974 and this dedication would not appear to support Bill's statements that the Weather Underground was merely an anti-war organization.

Bill Ayers' memories of those days are very different than mine. I have testified before grand juries, Senate Committees and at the Felt/Miller FBI trial, under oath. Reports of these events were given to the FBI and are now part of the recorded history. Can Bill say the same?

Must see video...

Undercover agent Larry Grathwohl discusses the Weather Underground's post-revolution governing plans for the United States

Larry Grathwohl:

"I asked, 'well what is going to happen to those people we can't reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?' and the reply was that they'd have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say 'eliminate,' I mean 'kill.' Twenty-five million people. I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people. And they were dead serious."

From November 10, 2003:

30-Y.O. Unsolved SF Murders Reopen
[Weather Underground, Black Liberation Army, Ayers, Dohrn]

BAY AREA (KRON) -- The unsolved murder of two San Francisco police officers has languished as cold cases for 30 years until now. A federal grand jury has been looking into the murders. Many of the people now under investigation both as potential targets and witnesses in this case are scattered across the country. Many of them are now in their 50s and 60s. Investigators believe the crimes were politically motivated and committed by militant radical groups.

On August 29, 1971, sergeant John Young is killed in a barrage of gunfire when two men walk into the Ingleside police station and begin shooting at officers sitting behind the glass partition. It is the second unsolved police killing in 18 months.

On February 16, 1970, officer Brian McDonnell is killed when a bomb explodes at Park Police Station. Attorney Joe O'Sullivan, at the time was a young police officer. "It was just bedlam. I don't think we were able to get into the station. I think it was cordoned off. Nobody really knew the exact nature of the devastation," he says.

For three decades, the police murders remained unsolved. Evidence from the two crime scenes sat in the police property room.

KRON 4 News has learned that three years ago, San Francisco police secretly re-opened the case. Armed with new forensic technology and with State and Federal agencies helping, SFPD investigators began to work full-time on the murders.

And now, sources tell us, those investigators have identified potential suspects: former members of two militant groups in the '60s and '70s -- the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army, people who've been out of the spotlight for decades. The most prominent among them is Bernadine Dohrn, a former leader of the Weather Underground and now a law professor at Northwestern University in Illinois.

Appreciate the ping ... would not want to miss this outstanding piece of posting.

The democrat party is so corrupted from using abortion as a means to empower their political capital, they don't even have the ability to see evil when he raises his affirmative action head. A person can be gauged by the company he chooses to associate with, and we know despite Axelrod's layering of lies to hide the fact that Obowma has used his connections to evil people in order to further his political position. The current president is truly a wicked man, but then too many democrats actually like that reality because they are bankrupt, spiritually.
