Security officers at Los Angeles International Airport physically removed a reporter from a press area near Air Force One Thursday as she waited to hand a letter to President Obama.
Brenda Lee, a writer for the Georgia Informer, an African-American-oriented paper, was ejected shortly before Obama arrived at the airport to leave California.
She told The Associated Press that her letter urged Obama to take a stand for traditional marriage.
Lee said she approached a Secret Service agent, requesting that he pass her letter on to Obama. He declined and said she should give it to a White House staffer. She refused.
"I said, 'I'll take my chances if (the president) comes by here,'" she said. "He became annoyed that I wouldn't give him the letter."
Lee said she was told to leave after objecting to the request. "I said, 'Why are you bothering me?' They escorted me outside the gate."
Security gave her permission to return after she pledged to behave, but then other security people arrived and demanded she depart, she says.
"I said, 'I'm not leaving.' They tried to drag me out." Two officers picked her up and proceeded to do just that.

At first thought, I can’t say I blame the SS guy.
She should have let him inspect the contents of her envelope (if this was a note in an envelope) and this probably wouldn’t have been an issue.
The headline is wrong.
And we can't have that.
Barack Obama opposes gay marriage, too, so he shouldn’t have any problem with this.
She also claims to be a Roman Catholic "Priestess". There's no such title, that I am aware of.
Isn’t this the ‘Catholic priestess’?? I do not blame the SS guy either. What a whining bunch of baloney.
There is NO such thing as a “priestess” in the Roman Catholic Faith!
Doesn't that look like Michelle getting the boot? (Does Hussein have something on the side?)
You're only kidding yourself if you think he opposes it. He said he opposed it because he was sitting in Rick Warren's church, being asked about it on national TV to the widest audience possible.
“Does Hussein have something on the side?”
Larry Sinclair.
