“they do get some things right.”

As long as it doesn’t become a witch hunt. (or used against Christians or other minorites in their country)

This should be the standard punishment worldwide.

Too bad we can’t do the same to those savages in this country who prey upon our children.

Yes. Crucifixion. They recently brought back the practice.

The Saudis understand what it takes to deter crime. Too bad we have become so “civilized” we’ve forgotten.

The Saudis don’t bother with lawyers and Miranda rights.

Broken clock...

From now on the punishment for convicted murderers, etc in this country should be an all-expenses-paid one-way trip to Saudi Arabia.

“He was taking up all our oxygen.”

Even worse, he was exhaling C02 and thus contributing to Global Warming. /sarc.

This goes to show there is some good in every culture.

I’m thinking it must’ve happened to a Saudi child. If it had happened to a Filipino or Indian or Sri Lankan child, there would’ve been some money paid and he would’ve been forgiven.

But it’s odd that they regard sodomy of a boy child a crime if the religion views them as ‘pearls of eternal freshness’. Also, it’s not problematic for a man to sodomize a boy so long as that boy hasn’t hit puberty/doesn’t have facial hair. Something is odd with this case. I suspect it has to do with the boy’s father having been killed.

“King Abdullah should show true leadership and commute all death sentences if Saudi Arabia is to have any role to play as a global leader or member of the G20,”

Yes, the King needs to keep in mind the methane and other GW gases exuded by the lately departed.

But he's probably still glowing over having Zerobama kiss his ring.

They beheaded him as a punishment for his crime. They crucified his body as a warning to others. Pretty good deterrent actually....a headless body crucified and on public display.

Did they behead him first, then crucify him or the other way around?

According to a CNN article, the head is sewn back on and then put on display..

Which of the following has the least bearing on any Saudi role as a global leader or member of the G20?

A. The fact that G20 countreis are dependent on Saudi oil.

B. Trillions of dollars invested in the economies of G20 members.

C. “True leadership” as defined by Amnesty International.
