Jeffrey Hunter, dealership in Waco, Texas contributed $200 to Barack Obama
Jane and Stephen Baldock, dealership in Wenatchee, Wash. contributed $250 to Barack Obama
$200/250...NOt enough to save them
But was the same research done on the political leanings of the dealers who weren’t cut?
The closings were clearly a hit job. Don’t hold your breath waiting for anyone to jump on this though. In fact, these closings are very likely to have the desired effect. Businesses who contribute to Republicans are on the hit list. Republican contributions are likely to dry up.
bkmk
Let me be the first....
I am shocked, SHOCKED!
I read somewhere that the vast majority of dealers are republican. If that is the case then these numbers would not be suprising.
But was the same research done on the political leanings of the dealers who werent cut?
well, you have something to do this week... LOL
But it's quite clear to me, Watson, that “if you weren't a significant contributor to Obama; you weren't allowed to be a Chrysler dealer any longer.”
It's quite obvious that the first ones to be cut were those WHO DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN.
It ain't rocket science, folks. LOL
Tom Dashle and myself are both deeply saddened.
Agree. That’s the question.
Yep. We will be seeing more of this in the coming years where the political payback will be very painful. BHO will be worse politically than “Tricky Dick” Nixon. For those of those who were born after the ‘72 election, there were alot of political maneuverings Nixon pulled before Watergate was discovered.
BHO is a Marxist. He only cares about taking total control of this country. If I were a Congress critter, I’d be afraid of not only losing power, but all of Congress being arrested along with SCOTUS.
Gun up people.
I won't.
Really? Then answer this question: Of the 3000 dealerships that are not being closed, what percentage of the dealership owners gave to the GOP and what percentage gave to the RATS? Maybe the closings are a hit job. Maybe not. But there is no way that anyone can draw an INTELLIGENT and REASONED conclusion without analyizing both sides of the equation.
A closer look as to who was cut is important in terms of other factors such as percentage of sales, etc.
For example, a Republican donor was cut. Expected because most were Republican donors. Further examination - a top 2% seller was cut in favor of a Democrat who has now been given a monopoly in his area (this is an example not based on facts. I don’t know the situation of the dealer that was supposedly in the top 2%)
Why should a top 2% seller be closed?
It has been reported on other threads that Fox News sampled both groups and found no difference
Not much of an option it’s Ford or an import.
If we were real adults, we would want the same analysis of the dealers that will keep their franchises. This WND story is almost meaningless without such a comparison.
