"But whatever the motives, we at Priests for Life continue to insist on a culture in which violence is never seen as the solution to any problem. Every life has to be protected, without regard to their age or views or actions."

Amen!

As much as I hate what Tiller did, as Christians we do not repay evil with evil, but evil with good. Two wrongs never make a right. What Tiller did was wrong (sinful), and what his murderer did was wrong (sinful). This sort of action helps no one.

blah, blah, blah,...

F. Pavone is a cynical attention starved cleric who wants to exploit a tragedy so as to get his name in the headlines.

Excellent. This is the meme pro-lifers need to get out in front of the story with, as much as they can.

“At this point, we do not know the motives of this act, or who is behind it, whether an angry post-abortive man or woman, or a misguided activist, or an enemy within the abortion industry, or a political enemy frustrated with the way Tiller has escaped prosecution. We should not jump to conclusions or rush to judgment.”

Exactly. The murderer could have been a loan shark. A jealous husband. Someone with a copy of Obama’s real birth certificate.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Father Pavone has dedicated his entire life to the protection of innocent life. He is a recognized leader of the pro-life movement because of what he does, not because he desires attention.

All he has done here is condemn an act of violence for what it is.

Highly cynical and from what I have heard and seen of Fr Pavone 100% wrong.

As this is an activist site, we do ourselves a HUGE disservice by even entertaining the thought that the gunman is a legitimate “pro-lifer”.

We need to stop this. The administration is to blame for this.

I find it convenient that this last week a report came out saying the Democrats are “waiting” for unfortunate events to use them to take down the 2nd Amendment.

I find it convenient that a pro-abortionist was killed while the pols show we’re becoming pro-life.

I find it convenient that a murder occured in front of a church, while home bible studies are being outlawed.

I find it convenient for Napolitano. This is the fault of the administration. As activists, it’s our duty to maintain activism in the most trying times.

Yeah, how cynical can you get advocating for the end to abortion..after all its a "constitutionally guaranteed" right.

Where do these buffoons come from? < /sarcasm>

As much as I hate what Tiller did, as Christians we do not repay evil with evil, but evil with good.

There should be consequences for evil. Some evil simply needs to be destroyed. Tiller has now suffered the consequences of his evil. No where in the Bible does it say that evil should be repaid with good. If there is, I'd like you to point it out. There is a much better argument that God rejoices when evil is destroyed.

We should not jump to conclusions or rush to judgment.

No, and reasonable people (the sort that don't abort their children) won't, and this needs to be said.

The problem is everyone else.

The media has had this scripted for at least a decade.

Indeed. Call me a cynical conspiracy theorist but I wouldn’t put it past the pro-abortion left to have arranged Tiller’s murder themselves and then blame the incident on the right so they could then say “See how terrible pro-life conservatives are!!!!” on the media to con enough of the unlearned and undiscerning to supporting late-term abortions and gun control.

This is among the most ridiculous things I've ever read on FR.

You should stick to what you know.
