Newsmax.com ^ | 05/31-09

As a small-town mayor, Steve Lonegan won both admirers and enemies across the state by trying to have English declared his community's official language, announcing he wouldn't support civil unions for gay couples, fighting rate increases on toll roads and suing the state government over how much money it was borrowing.

But it wasn't making noise about those conservative values that first took him to borough hall.

“Christie is the darling of the state’s relatively moderate Republican hierarchy,...”

No more.

CONSERVATIVES want Lonegan.

Move on, Christie and take your “moderate” stances with you.

Lonegan is the only bright spot of hope on NJ’s horizon.

All NJ conservatives need to get out the vote today, or you will have RINO Christie, who, if he wins in November, will just be Corzine lite.

NJ is one step behind California financially, only it refuses to believe it.

Remember: undeclared and independent voters can vote in the primary if they go to the polls and declare party affiliation. They can always swithch back later.

This is one of the races where I think we should be all-in, even if it’s harder for the conservative to win... In reality, whichever person emerges victorious, he’ll be labeled a far-right extremist... So... that being the case, I’d rather take my chances with SL.

You are so RIGHT.
But the thing that angers me the most right now is radio host Sean Hannity, who talks over and over about how moderate Republican candidates have lost and will continue to lose elections, and when we have a true Conservative here in Steve Lonegan, won’t give him any airtime. Hannity has been supporting the moderate Christie, along with his bud Guliani. He is completely without credibility for me now.

That would be a disgrace, if that’s the whole story... Sean has a great deal of respect for Levin, and would be surprised if they’re that far off from each other

It IS the whole story. A few months ago, I heard a caller from NJ ask Sean to help support Lonegan. I thought it was strange that he kind of dissed her by saying that there were 2 good candidates running, and he wasn’t going to get involved in a NJ race till after the primary. Little did I know that he had apparently made up his mind to go with Guliani’s guy, Christie, even then.

Levin is tied to no one, neither is Lonegan. Hannity on the other hand, seems to be all about self-promotion. After this, I just can’t respect him and won’t be listening. I’m sticking with Levin and Rush.
