Last night I had the honor of being present for President George W. Bush’s speech to the Economic Club of SW Michigan. It was amazing to witness the love and support that over 3,000 people of our community gave him. He received a number of standing ovations and many times the audience erupted in wild and spontanious applause. He is a man of great character and reminded all of us why we should be proud Americans. He didn’t use notes or have a teleprompter but his speech was flawless! He was also very gracious to his sucessor—never critizing him in any way.
Today on TV a democratic analyst said that Mr. Bush distanced himself from Dick Chaney, and I can tell you that is absolutley NOT true. Mr. Bush admires Dick Chaney and said he was the best VP for the time and the team America needed after 911.
Mr. Bush said he would like to be remembered as “A man who showed up to the office with a set of principles and was unwilling to sell his soul for the sake of popularity.” Wow... !!!

I have enjoyed Facebook & there are so MANY facets to it.. I have caught up with friends from 40 & 50 years ago (yes while I was in the womb..LOL)..
and at them same time have minimized my internet use due to overwhelming cirucumstances OFF the net.
