In describing Islam, many political commentators use words like radical, political, extremist or militant as qualifying adjectives or they use the words Islamism or Islamo-fascism in order to specify their cirticism of the political side of Islam and to carefully exhibit no hostility toward Islam as a religion. This approach caters to the prevailing political orthodoxy by implying that there is an overwhelming majority of Muslims devoted to the good religious Islam with only a small subset of extremists fighting for the bad political Islam, which Muslims themselves don’t necessarily endorse. We call this the “two Islams formula.”
Politicians love the two Islams formula, in fact, both administrations since 9/11 have subscribed to it, because it means they don’t have to do anything about Islam itself. Muslim immigration, mosque building, Islamic schools, proselytizing in our prisons and military, and the infiltration of our institutions by Muslim Brotherhood front groups all go untouched. Politically, we are limited to fighting terrorism and terrorist financing and that is it. Not surprisingly, the Muslim Brotherhood loves this formulation and actively promotes it as well because it gives them religious cover for everything they do. We must recognize that the actual imposition of Shari’a law is the final stage of Islamization. So if we aim our attack on Islam’s political system alone and don’t deal with Islam as a religion, we will find the battle lost before it begins.

It’s not a religion at all.
You have two basic types of muslims. You have those who follow the Koran and Islamic teaching (like Bin Ladin, Arafat, etc), and those “moderate” muslims, who are basically not being “good muslims”. They are not doing what their faith actually demands.
Bin Ladin IS A TRUE MUSLIM. He and those of his ilk (I like using the word “ilk”) practice the purest form of Islam, while all those “moderate” muslims (and I wonder just how “moderate” they really are...) that the left/news media like to talk about just are not being true to the Koran.

Wow. Considering the history of the “Prophet” and all of the weird things that they teach about Jesus (Allah the deceiver, deceiving everyone by putting someone else on the cross in Jesus’ image), I’d not expect anyone who understands the religion to really take Islam seriously.
When was the last (or first) time an American Islamic leader publicly criticized those who kill in the name of your “religion?”
It is communism dressed up in religion.
Islam is a social construct that never made it out of the Seventh Century. It was founded by a deranged madman troubled by nightmarish visions and dreamstates. It has been responsible for the deaths of millions in the last 1400 years. Islam has been at war with the civilized world for that entire time, and we are now living in the latest escalation of that same war.
Unfortunately, the PC crowd can’t handle the truth, and so have developed this ‘two Islams’ model as a vehicle to validate their own philosophy that there is good in everyone.

You are right. I hate to say it, but Islam is ‘submission’ to a demon of a “god”.
By their fruits you will know them.
Call it what you like, it is not a religion, it is a cult.
Of course it’s a religion. It’s an evil religion. It most certainly is a dangerous religion, not only spiritually, but temporally as well.
Islam is the scourge of the world, and has been for 1300 years.
