That said, there’s more troubling news this morning. I’m horrified by credible reports that in his June 4th speech in Cairo, President Obama will say it is time to divide Jerusalem and make the holy city the capital of a Palestinian state.
No, Mr. President, it is not
Jerusalem is and should be the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Dividing Jerusalem will not make peace. Rather, it would send a message to every Radical Islamic jihadist around the world that Israel is weak, that the Jews won’t even defend the sovereignty of their own capital, that there is “blood in the water,” and that it is time to strike Israel and wipe her off the map. Dividing Jerusalem would trigger an apocalyptic war in the Middle East the likes of which the region has never seen.
I am committed to doing everything I possibly can to educate people — and particularly U.S. and Canadian evangelical Christians — to the threats facing Israel and the West due to Radical Islam, and to the biblical responsibility we have to show unconditional love and unwavering support to Israel and the Jewish people. We’ll use radio, TV, the internet, emails and other media to get the word out. But we can’t do it alone. We want and need your help.
One idea: let’s build an alliance of one million true friends of Israel — people who love Israel, are committed to blessing her in real and practical ways, are absolutely opposed to dividing Jerusalem, and will pray faithfully for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of all the people of the epicenter.

Does hubby get all of his information from the MSM? If so, that explains his lack of alarm.
My 28 year old son spent 7 years working with me and listening to conservative talk radio all day, every day in his late teens and early twenties. He got a very good education in politics and culture during that time, and voted R when he went to the polls.
But, after getting out from under my wing, and moving to a solid liberal environment, he went soft. Some time back, he confessed to me that he voted for Obama, and went so far as to vigorously defend that vote.
To say I'm disappointed in him is a gross understatement. It feels more like a great loss to me.

There's still so much that I don't know, (along with everyone else), but "Babylon"?
Metaphor for the modern world's leading country of commerce, etc. I could take bets on it and pray to be wrong.
Jesus predicted that Israel will someday foolishly receive the Antichrist as their Savior. “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive”(John 5:43).
The Bible does hint that the Antichrist might have a Jewish background. In Dan 11:37 it says “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers.” Although the verse could mean any deity, the wording strongly matches Jewish heritage of faith in God.
I'm my own man, and had to break with orthodoxy to go my own way. I'd be a complete hypocrite, if I wasn't completely open about my politics with those I love.

It's a fact. My politics has caused them to demote me in their minds. They haven't actually disowned me, but I can tell that they now see me first, through the lens of their politics.
If I weren't related to them by blood, they would have already fired me.

I know. My son went to church with me, to FGBMI meetings, to all kinds of Christian activities. Then he married into the Bahai faith and has turned his back on all of it. I was devastated but my love for him won’t back down and he knows how I feel about all of it. I just don’t talk about it any more but I sure do pray! He’s raising his children in the faith too. Sigh. Almost like death, isn’t it?
Not really. He reads the local paper but we only listen to Fox. They don’t even talk about it there. He says we can depend on the Lord. I say, yeah, but what if the Lord is telling us to prepare this way? If somebody other than I would tell him, maybe he’d listen.
April, that is perhaps the most important point to be made in these pages in the last ten million words.
This is also an incongruency that the liberal left can't possibly answer:
If Capitalism is so bad, and Socialism is so good, then why have China and the former USSR abandoned the Socialist model and moved toward full-blown Capitalist economies?
Secondly, if those former Communist countries are moving toward Capitalism, why on earth is the US now abandoning Capitalism, and rushing headlong toward the Socialist model?
Guarantee you, they can't give you a rational answer those questions.
