Jill is a much better Christian than I am.

Ditto that. I suspect she's a much better Christian than all of us who profess to be Christian's here on FR combined times two.

I won't say I know Jill on a personal level (I do not..) but I've had the good fortune to chat with her a few times as we both attend the same church. I'll say this about Jill: She's someone who's put her life completely on the line for Christ. She walks the walk in every way. If there's a woman on this earth after God's own heart, it's her.

When she speaks out on abortion she knows exactly what she's talking about as she's the nurse who blew the whistle on live birth abortions at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois where she was a registered nurse (until she blew the whistle on the practice) and was the driving force behind President Bush's signing of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Rape is aggressively prosecuted. I don’t get where you could even ask, “Why is no one ever prosecuted for it?” with a straight face.

I'm a survivor, that's why, and no he was never prosecuted. Let's just say where there is money, freedom can be bought.

Let me clarify. Under-age girls are being forced into having abortions. Their getting pregnant in the first place proves that a statutory rape (and child sexual abuse) occurred. The abortion mills should report it to the authorities by law, but they don't. Therefore there are no "aggressive" prosecutions of any kind.

For what it's worth, I prayed for George Tiller to convert while he was still living. There is such a thing as free will, and all this talk that he was "deprived of the opportunity to repent" and "should not have been murdered" sounds like sanctimonious claptrap to me.

The truth is, there are a lot of people out there (average Joe included) who are glad he is dead. Maybe the pro-life movement may not qualify as glad, but a whole lot of them, if they want to admit the truth, are just relieved that something finally happened, even if it was at the hands of a madman. Tiller got his karma, and that's the long and short of it.

Well a man come on the 6 oclock news
Said somebodys been shot, somebodys been abused
Somebody blew up a building
Somebody stole a car
Somebody got away
Somebody didnt get too far yeah
They didnt get too far

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles well sing a victory tune
Well all meet back at the local saloon
Well raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
Weve got too much corruption, too much crime in the streets
Its time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send em all to their maker and he'll settle em down
You can bet he'll set em down cause

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles well sing a victory tune
Well all meet back at the local saloon
Well raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

When his church permitted him to be an usher, it was as if they'd let a strip club operator or someone of a similar legal, yet biblically immoral, profession “greet” parishioners.

George Tiller made millions, maybe that had something to do with it. Wouldn't surprise me if he got government money, too.

Let me also say that the abortion conveniently gets rid of the evidence of the rape or incest which allows the abuser to continue his evil ways.

I don’t mean to make light of the situation. But the part about “send ‘em back to their maker, he’ll sort ‘em out” was what I was after. There are worse things to experience than death.

Even the convoluted ruling of Roe v. Wade allowed states to regulate or outlaw the procedure after the first trimester.

IIRC, Doe vs Bolton, decided the same day as "Roe" effectively made abortion legal for any reason. up to the time of birth. This is why there has been so much difficulty getting even the most minimal of restrictions passed by states without their being challenged and overturned.
