The Census exists to track population for representative apportionment, every other question on the thing is irrelevant and if you answer them you are a fool.

A lot of people must be fools. I got my ACS form a year or two ago. I just ignored it. Then a census worker called me and attempted to do the survey over the phone. I refused to answer the majority of the questions. This seemed to dumbfound her as if no one else had ever done the same thing.

I haven't heard anything since.

So what's the government going to do when scammers start calling people posing as census takers and getting personal information and stealing their identity?

I suppose that it's possible that someone could try something like that through mail, although that might be easier to track and the penalties could be stiffer if caught.

Anyway, I'm not giving out personal information to anybody who calls looking for it no matter who they claim to be representing.

Those people who do are morons.

The census isn’t supposed to be taken until 2010. What was that person doing there?

Obama is doing a pre-census visit to every household in America to create a database tying everyones street address with their exact global position. The census takers will be carrying GPS locaters. No joke.

Of course they are, the public schools have dumbed down the bulk ot the public to MUSH. You really think the constution and the federalist papers are something anyone teaches other than a passing glance in public education today?

Last time ‘round, the alleged fine for not providing data was $100, but lying was $500. Nobody was prosecuted for not providing data.
