I received the questionaire for the last census and ignored it.
Here's a site that lays out the penalties associated with not honestly answering the questions on the 2000 census. Sorry, I'm not good with posting links, but you can copy/paste the address into your brower.

this time I’ll think I’ll tell them to use statistical sampling to determine how many rooms in my house.
Well, you don’t REALLY lie. You were just confused.

Got an American Community Survey in late 2007. Then they got concerned that the first got lost in the mail a few weeks later, so they sent me a second one. Also they sent some post cards reminding me to fill out the form. The second month they called me regularly and reminded my answering machine to fill out my form for me (they couldn't have been talking to me). The third month they knocked on my door and left they business cards and brochures that ranged from the pleading (If you don't fill out the ACS, how will your city get money for schools and roads. Little Johny will grow up uneducated and won't even be able to drive away.) to threatening (Under United States Code xxx.yyy you are required to accurately complete the ACS or you will be subject to fines and or jail time). Then I never heard from then again.
Here's another website of people's battles with the Census and the ACS
>>Does anyone at home “because of a physical, mental, or emotional condition” have “serious difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions?”
No, we’re all Conservatives.<<
Post of the Day!
Not enforceable, why? US first class mail is not guaranteed so they cant prove you got it.
Illegals are supposed to fill it out too so Cities can get more funding.
Works for me :)
Just makes me wonder why people are paying good money for census data.
I got this, it’s vile. Lots of stupid questions, like last month’s utility bills (which was April for me, and living in Tucson April is the “cheap month” since it’s generally warm enough to not use the heater but cool enough to not use the cooler). Thought about resisting but I didn’t feel like the harassment (some on the web are reporting things escalating to multiple times a day visits and phone calls from the census bureau) or the fines. Very annoying though.
That fulfills our constitutional obligation.
I got one for my business as well. They are asking for salary, profit, sales info. All kinds of stuff.
Where's my money? Where's my free house and free gas? where's my free college tuition?
I have problems with the socks first then shoes routine.
Didn’t know they had a business version, pretty obnoxious. The really retarded part to me was that a lot of the info they should already have. Like my income (ask the IRS), or the age of the building I live (ask the city), I’d say nearly half the questions were stuff the government already knows about me, and yet here they are killing trees asking me again.
Years ago I got a jury pool questionaire from the county. There was a box to check if you had any physical or mental condition which could make jury duty difficult. I checked “yes” in the mental box. In the explain blank I wrote “IQ is more than two digits”. Never heard from them again.
Does the census form ask if you own a gun, and if so, does it ask what type(s) and numbers of guns you own?
I forgot to include... “Did your guns get categorized on a BATFE form 4473 form at the time of purchace? If not, please put the serial numbers and type of gun here...”
