WASHINGTON (AFP) — On the eve of his major address to Muslims, President Barack Obama faced criticism at home Wednesday from some fellow Democrats who believe he has gone too far in pressuring Israel to freeze settlements.

"I think the president went beyond where I think it was appropriate for us to go in dealing with another democracy," said Democratic Representative Anthony Weiner.

"Any conversations about settlements, which are perfectly reasonable, have to be coupled with a sincere effort on the part of the Palestinians."

His comments were an unusual rebuke by Democrats of Obama, who has popularity ratings north of 60 percent, and points to the broad support Israel enjoys in both parties in Congress.

Hope Weiner enjoys mopping bathrooms for the rest of his time on Capitol Hill.

LOL! Democrats defending the stealth Hamas usurper and Saudi errand boy. 78% of American liberal Jews voted for Hussein. Ditoo 57% of Notre Dame abortion loving “Catholics.”

all these issues which bozo is seeing to overturn and pay offs are not popular by the majority and yet he has high approval ratings

why?

Because the state run media try to twist these issues and then do not tell their viewers that it is bozo and the Dem party who are doing it.

sickening and it is us who has to get the word out about this clown, even simple comments while standing in line at a coffee shop like what oabma is sucking up to the islamic world again
or
what obama is taking over another company with our tax money I am fed up if this and I voted for him, never again

the more the people hear others are pissed off the more the sheep will follow

staying silent is doing nothing same as just us talking to each other letting off steam on here

Hopefully one day the Jews and so called catholics will actually wake up and catholics can follow their faith again instead of being sheep to bozo and the state run media

Bad move, Zero. Now your Dem Party base is eroding. People are just waking up to realize that they voted for a closet Muslim.

And Israelis have special military units [מבצע זעם האל, Mivtza Za'am Ha'el‎] that play for keeps. 'Nuff said.

We tried to warn the Jews before the election. Votes have consequences. I hope they feel all warm and fuzzy after voting for a Muslim.

The Catholics await the same fate after 65% voting for him. They will be looking out from under the bus soon enough.

I think the bankers and other business leaders are already under the bus that voted for him.

Does the Prime Minister head the cabinet? I thought he was the head of the government.

Though it's not about Jews, those weren't Jewish recruiters shot the other day, who is we? Not only didn't the GOP go near the issue, couldn't even say his famous middle name, John McCain assured the nation the nation would be as safe with BHO in the Oval Office as with him. It simply wasn't an issue.

Essentially, though since cabinet are from different political parties, issues are more contentious. I think they're subject to the PM's direction, but they serve at the pleasure of their party as well, and their party can bring the government down if they don't like the direction. Or damage individual's politically by downgrading their party ranking.

My comment was about the conservative leaders that spoke at AIPIC and warned the Jews there that he was no friend. He would stab Israel the first chance he got. There are some speeches by John Hagee online that show him telling AIPIC that Obama would turn on them. Apparently, they didn't believe him. For whatever reason, the Jews would rather vote for a Muslim that would cut their throats, than a Christian.

By the same token, Catholics voted for a sodomite baby killer. Go figure.
