I am glad he won that one and not me! Where in the world would you put $88 million dollars right now? The banks are out, you can’t keep or carry cash anymore without the fear of it being confiscated, and a million dollars worth of Rolexes in the safe doesn’t make a dent. Does anyone else lose sleep over things like this?:>)

Lease a 767 and live in it and keep moving one jump ahead of the "friends" and "Relatives"?

Or I suppose he could simply hire an army.

I’d buy an ammo factory.

My advice—get the hell out of South Dakota and don’t take any phone calls.

Look up the words “envy” and “jealousy” in the dictionary.

Well thank you Captain Buzzkill...LOL...you must be fun at parties.

Actually, if you read the article..he says the community had helped out his family; and he will now help out the family and community. He sounds well grounded. I wish him well.

I just hope he remembers his “family.” The ones back in PA...

I think if he handled it right, he would live very well on a “budget” of $100,000 annually in present day dollars.

If invested wisely and securely, he could pay off his debts, budget for taxes on future income and property, and still have enough money to gradually give away his remaining fortune. I would get great satisfaction giving my fortune away to needy individuals of my choosing.

Ditto!

Would even keep it from my family until I had set my plan into action, especially the security aspect.

I would have no problem telling people to back off - family or not. LOL

Several layers of security and an eye scanner would take care of my dead beat friends. Once that was taken care of, I’d go fish for Artic Grayling and sack a big Caribou, then set up several trust funds for ministry where the principle would not be touched. Even after taking care of the kids and grandkids, feeding the poor, supporting ministry and militias (think of the cool Idi Amin uniforms!), what would you do with the other 50 million or so?

I only play the power ball when it gets up to at least 70 million. I think about how I would spend it every time I read the newspaper. There are always at least 2 or 3 worthy causes that are in need of assistance.

This handsome kid sounds well grounded and loves the lord. He wants to give back to the community.
I'm hoping he gets himself a big ranch and lives his life doing what he loves..

From what I've read about him, he'd be a good catch for your beautiful Grand daughter even if he wasn't richer than dirt!

....”richer than dirt” would be nice. Thankfully, granddaughter is firmly grounded. She’s happiest in her hospital “scrubs” or Levi’s and boots.

Thank you, I understand the terms.

The whole state monopoly lottery scam is a fraud.

They say it’s fun; it’s not.
They say you can win; you can’t.
They say the proceeds go to the children; they don’t.

Gambling is good when you do it with us.
Gambling is bad of you do it with anyone else.

It is an evil tax on stupid people who need that money more than the state.

True..if he can be disciplined. Plus at 23 if he invested wise over the course of time with compounded interest he could leave a sizable amount in principle alone as an engine for growth and still a very nice life. Unless the gremlins get in the mix.

That "Country" Sealand was for sale a few years ago.

It could be "KING Harry". Or "Great BIG HUGE Emperor Harry". We have done worse than that in the US. At least you would not be a Messiah.
