I would like this thread to be a compilation of stories from those of you who have friends or acquantances who voted for Obama, and are now souring and letting it be known.
I've been reading comments from time to time in varying threads from posters saying that they have family/friends, etc., that are turning on obummer.
Let's warm our cockles by assembling the anecdotal evidence here!
Of course, the Bangor area is nirvana for the ultimate consumers.
Sweet turn of phrase!
The liberals in my wife’s family are still staunchly behind Obama. My mother-in-law still believes that George Bush screwed things up so bad that Obama is barely able to fix things. When I asked her about what she thought about her electric bill going up 50% due to cap and trade she scoffed and said we will all have to tighten our belts so we can get through this and that we have all been living too high on the hog for too long. I guess she would be content going back to living like she did as a kid with no running water in the house and an outhouse out back. I got enough hell from my wife for talking politics with her mother so I don’t ask her what she thinks of Obama’s screw ups.
Not the case here in NC.
Up until a month or so ago we were still seeing quite a few Obama bumper stickers here in Midlothian, VA...not so much now...maybe they all moved into Richmond proper to be closer to each other.
I wish Hussein’s treatment of Israel would lose the Jews like the dims lost the south in the 60’s

I almost crashed my car noticing a UN flag outside a residence. Of course, said house also had Obama signs last election.
We need to help them by nicely bringing the simple, straightforward facts about O to them, on a regular basis. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Well, you asked, so I thought it was an excellent, solid and very professional and appropriate and positive speech. That's probably why so many FReepers liked it, it was written and delivered in the way one expects of a serious world leader. Not one word of it was about Sarkozy himself that I recall.
There were several lines that made me want to cheer because we don't hear about courage, dedication and integrity to purpose in this country's leader's speeches anymore. And Sarkozy spoke strongly about the big issues and the real reasons we fight and even suffer and die for Democracy.
Towards the end Sarkozy took a couple excellent swipes at 0bama's attitude towards American values when the zer0 is speaking abroad and he said (almost exact words) "Mr. President of the United States... do not forget..." the lessons learned and the reasons we fight and that America is a great nation.
It was wonderful :0)
But, I’ve kept my “Nobomination ‘08” sticker.
You need new friends!
Yeah, those are the stories I'm hearing: he's not dismantling America fast enough.
Man, I look at my modest job, income, and apartment. I live as lightly as possible and there's always somewhere who thinks folks like me are "wasteful." All due respect, but they can have hot cider and roast marshmallows in Helena, Montana.
