George Tiller's funeral this morning drew large crowds and some protesters but was peaceful, officials said....Tiller's oldest child, Jennifer, said her father loved to relay axioms, "pearls of wisdom for how life should be lived...He believed in the effort and the joy of his work...as I look out on you today -- all of you, in many colors -- I see all the brush stokes. I see all the dots. I see all the people, the color, the canvas of my dad's life..."

Oh, yeah, Jennifer? Do you also see the souls of the hundreds of thousands of innocent babies your father bragged about murdering out there too??

Estimates for those attending was about 700. I was expecting HolyO to take a plane back here to the US to personally attend the funeral (and then to spend thousands of taxpayer $$$$$ to fly back to France), and to order a boatload of US Marshalls to protect the church--but only 700 people in the whole country to mourn for this poor 'assassinated' 'doctor'?? Bit surprising.

“....and the joy of his work...”

And people say it should be easy to discern parody from actual news here on FR.....

the joy of his work

I'm guessing that Joseph Mengele is giving him a big hug about now.

Pearls of wisdom? Like, “Always make sure the baby’s dead.”?

Ah, therein lies the problem here on FR.

Looks like news to me, but I don’t have time to study the sources. Might be another one of those clever parodies just casually thrown in among the news stories.

Such fun.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Galatians 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Lord! The apple does not fall far fron the tree does it!

"He believed in the effort and the joy of his work."

I feel nothing over the death of a mercenary... he isn’t in abortion to practice medicine, or because he is there trying to help the people make the United States a better place. He was there to Kill Babies for profit. Screw him.

The joy of his work?

No dear, you didn't see the colorful brush stokes of your dad's work. Those beings didn't grow up to be able to attend.

As for the canvas of your dad's life, it was surgical green, and the strokes contributed blood and body tissue to it.

Everyone wants to think their parent's actions were admirable. They tend to be flowery when describing them at such times. Most people understand this and forgive poetic license, as well they should.

In this instance, it seems the limits have been pushed too far. There's nothing poetic about killing tens of thousands of living beings during a career, unless you're a movie star and those killings are just a fiction contributing to a plot line.

No such luck here...

“...the joy of his work...”

I couldn’t get past this to go on to read the rest. How sick of a statement is that to make? How utterly souless, depraved and a reflection of the absolute infection of the soul.

Live by the sword? Die by the sword...I’m sorry, I’m going to say what others won’t or can’t.......This man was a murderous madman. Do I feel sadness......compassion? Absolutely not......did he get what he deserved? yes The compassion I do feel is for him when he passed ‘to the other side’.

I'm not surprised he was murdered.

ANYONE that is in the publics eye and controversial runs this risk. It's the nature of the game. Even conservatives fall into this category. There is a reason why caught murderers are transported wearing body armor. Why the Pope today rides through the masses in an armored vehicle. Combine real controversy with lots of attention and you get the nut jobs attention, ask Reagan how that works. His would be assassin tried to kill him just to get Jodi Fosters attention.

On the other hand, a recruiting station where one is killed and another wounded, is a completely different matter and one of far greater concern. But that is not the spin of a media that is on the “lookout” for their poster child martyr to waive around. We recently had a plot to shoot down aircraft foiled, and recruiting stations are attacked (Yes, this isn't the first), and all is silent in the media. No big deal I guess.

Here's another "pearl of wisdom" from her dad, "We take cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and checks with the proper ID"

Do they still dispose of babies butchered in the infanticide compounds by throwing them in the trash? Whatever it is they do to them, is what should have been done with Tiller. The man didn’t deserve the dignity of a funeral.
