BURLINGTON, Vt. – Like plenty of other high school students, a group of about a dozen Vermont teenagers trundled into a youth center one day every week this spring to participate in an after-school program.

But their program was different; it focused on gender.

The nine-week program, partially funded by the Burlington School District, was held at Vermont's Queer Youth Center and called "Gendertopia."

Gay, lesbian and straight students discussed a wide range of topics, from the characters in the book and movie "Twilight," to taking photos around the city that show the different ways gender is portrayed in popular culture.

Homosexual pederasts used to lurk in public toilets.

Now they run our public schools. God help us.

God Help us indeed! I get physically ill when I think what the public school system, and liberals in general all over the country, are doing to this once great nation. There is such moral decay, one has only one avenue for help, and He is it.

Granted, the school system and their corruption of innocent minds is by far the worst.

Shouldn’t they have figured this out when they were going to Gymboree?

They used to be called “deviants” or “sick-sex freaks”. now they have an officially-sanctioned forum for “grooming” their victims. Sick, disgusting, despicable. Meanwhile, Indian, Chinese and South Korean kids are filling their heads with academic knowledge and are getting ready to give us an economic tail-whipping. We deserve it.

Another reason to homeschool!

The was actually funded by citizens who were under the threat of police action if they failed to do so.

I’m glad this article is about Vermont. I was afraid it was about Virginia Tech.

"a factor that helped keep the program non controversial was that it was voluntary"

I have a homo phobia that the voluntary nature of programs like this will not last forever.

Seeing that it was an after school program, I wasn’t sure.

Seeing that it’s partially funded by the public school, I am.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

There’s some truth to it but I learned something a week ago. A couple of blocks away is Hollywood High School. They are obviously indoctrinated to accept homosexuality in their curriculum. But I spoke to one of the students during lunchtime whom I struck a conversation with and he tells me :”sure, they teach us this faggot sh*t but we just give em what they want to hear to pass our grades.”

I believe this to be a product of the “if it feels good do it” and the “me-first” society we have become (especially the libs). These young kids are made to feel different and special by massaging and validating any and all perversions that they manufacture. Gender confusion? Isn’t this a mental problem and in need of some severe counseling or a swift kick in the butt? I am a teacher at a high school and find that most students think this stuff is idiotic and silly but they are brow beat into accepting this stuff due to political correctness. Parenting in this country is undoubtedly at an all-time worst and unless some tough love is practiced soon we will be in such a freefall as a society that we will fall.

LOL...Yeah, I have wondered how long it will take before a man is arrested in the ladies locker room only to claim that he thinks of himself as a woman and was more gender-comfortable in there. It has to happen at this rate.

“Queer Youth Center”???
Taxpayers are putting up with that?

This is making me queasy. Barf alert did not help.

If my property taxes went to that abomination, I WOULD MOVE. I’d leave them to their depravity.

For all the talk that conservatives are narrow minded, really “liberals” are narrow minded: Apparently, they believe boys and girls should behave in certain ways, and if they behave any other way, they must be part boy/girl. Ridiculous.

The Bible says that after a great flood, God sent a rainbow as a sign that He would never again send another. After Sodom and Gomorrah were wiped out with a ball of fire, God sent no such rainbow. Just a thought.

“...If you are making fun of me because I am wearing a pink shirt and that’s sort of expressing my femininity, my feminine side, that translates into homophobia, but it has nothing to do with whether I’m straight or whether I’m dating boys or whether I’m dating girls. It has to do with the fact that I’m wearing a pink shirt.”

Uhhh...what?

“The program was designed to help young people identify the subtle signals used to express gender and how not being aware of those signals can lower self esteem and possibly lead to an increase in at-risk activities like substance abuse or dropping out of school, Neff said.”

Um.....no. Just no.

Good point!

There is a wide range of overlapping mannerisms that is perfectly normal among men and women.

These Liberal/Marxists are stereotyping! Absolutely!
