AZ: 10 killed in SUV crash near Sonoita ( Suv with illegals )

Ten people "stacked like wood" in the back of a sports-utility vehicle were killed when the driver lost control on a remote southeastern Arizona highway, a spokeswoman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said Sunday.

DPS Officer Joy Craig said at least 27 men and women were in the vehicle traveling on State Route 82 about four miles east of Sonoita when the vehicle rolled for an unknown reason shortly before midnight Saturday.

Most of the vehicle's passengers were ejected.

Authorities said all the victims are believed to be illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Equador and perhaps Mexico.

"There was no rear seat in the (Ford) Excursion. They stack live people, as many as they can, like stacking wood," Craig told The Associated Press.

Five survivors have been airlifted to a Tucson hospital and seven people were transported to hospitals in Tucson and Sierra Vista.

Just a few miles west of Fort Huachuca. Area's a real hotbed, but I'd no idea they were doing stuff like this. They must have hoofed it up through Coronado Nat'l. Forest to meet their ride on one of those dirt roads in there somewhere.

” costs more to process dead illegals than it does live ones...”

Just bring a backhoe to the accident and plant them!

Cochise County picks up 100% of the tab. The only thing countries south of the border will finance is lawyers to sue a deep taxpayer pocket.

50% of Cochise Counties budget gets spent on medical for illegal aliens.

This is very sad. The “guilty” in this tragedy are the corrupt thieves who have run the illegals’ countries into the ground for centuries, forcing many to make dangerous trips and lead lonely lives in order to make money to send their impoverished families. God Bless and help these poor people and their broken-hearted families.
And Sonia Sotomayor: tell us again how “Latino” culture is superior to the Anglo/Euro variety. I don't see tens of thousands of desperate Canadians risking their lives crossing the border to work here.

Now hold on a minute!

People stacked like cordwood in the back of an SUV? Those people could have already been dead before the rollover, the result of suffocation for those on the bottom of the stacks.

And I’m not surprised the vehicle, the weight of which was overloaded, rolled over. They were most likely speeding like happens so often in these cases.

Someone yelled “Tacos” and everyone inside got excited and scared the driver who kept looking around and saying “Que”?, thusly losing his concentration on the road and ended up in a ditch instead.

"Five survivors have been airlifted to a Tucson hospital and seven people were transported to hospitals in Tucson and Sierra Vista."

Bill to be submitted to the Internal Re-Allocation Service (IRS).

Sorry. I had compassion for the first 13 million.

I’m out of compassion. Though I am looking for a little sympathy for myself for putting up with this stuff for the past few decades.

...when the vehicle rolled for an unknown reason.

How about the reason being about one ton overweight?

Correction. Santa Cruz County is gonna pay for this one. Local news report says 11 helicopters were dispatched. That means most or all of southern Az was without helicopter coverage last night.
4 miles east of Sonoita means they were comming in from the Parker Canyon Lake area. Thats the ultimate insult- Slave running adjacent to a Border Patrol station.

Growing industry - sending bodies of deceased migrants back to Mexico

A new business that sold repatriation certificates – documents that act as life insurance and cover funereal costs – saw an opportunity to promote their product and offered to donate funds to send the bodies to Chiapas.

News of the service reached national Hispanic news agencies and marked a new milestone in the repatriation of Mexican immigrants. As the Latino community in the United States continues to grow, a booming industry has emerged to cover the costs of sending the remains of deceased migrants back to Mexico.

Consulate has funds to send bodies to Mexico for burial

The Mexican consulate in Manhattan will be able to fully cover the costs this year of repatriating some 300 deceased Mexicans from the tri-state area back to Mexico, officials said Friday.

Consul General Ruben Beltran said the consulate is responding to the "strong desire" among Mexicans living outside of their native land to be buried in Mexico.
