Posted on 06/09/2009 8:51:01 AM PDT by WilliamWallace1999
The clinic where slain Kansas abortion provider Dr. George Tiller worked will be "permanently closed," his family's attorneys said Tuesday. Tiller. 67, performed late-term abortions at the Wichita clinic until he was gunned down by an anti-abortionist in church May 31. Lee Thompson and Dan Monnat, attorneys for Tiller's family, said in a statement that "effective immediately, Women's Health Care Services, Inc., will be permanently closed. "We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women's health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service," the statement read. "That is a legacy that will never die."

“...know that women’s health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service.”
It would be a gross exaggeration to say that even 0.1% of Tiller’s baby murders over the years were performed because of any threat to the mother’s “health”.
It should be turned into a memorial for all of the murders this stain on humanity has performed.
Shame on Kansas for tolerating this operation for so many years(deaths).
How many lives will be saved because this place is no longer in operation?
The sorry legacy may never die, but this particular slaughterhouse is out of business. I wonder how Dr. Tiller’s interview with St. Peter went.
One more death camp down.
Well, I’ll refrain from commenting on the sick language of this announcement and just say, “Good news.”
This was probably the single vilest abortion mill in the country.
Not to be said lightly:
That's one of the things that has always baffled me - how can a (supposedly) conservative, mid-western farm state allow this to occur, for so long.
And how the heck did Sebelious ever get elected as Gov?
California, New York, Mass., et al, I can see, but farm country?
Something good comes out of a “tragic” death!
My parents almost voted for Sebelius.
She came across as a motherly figure that would protect all the helpless and elderly.
...”how the heck did Sebelious ever get elected as Gov?
California, New York, Mass., et al, I can see, but farm country?”
As I understand it, it is because of the liberal centers of Topeka, parts of Wichita, and Kansas City.
I’m admittedly torn. On the one hand, the closing of an abortion clinic is good news. On the other hand it not only sickens me to see a scumbag like Roeder prevail, but it concerns me that this will embolden other scumbags to commit more murders in the name of life.
God takes something bad and turns it into something wonderful!
LOL Win Win
His son, Maury, said the manner of his father’s death resulted in an unimaginable outpouring of love and support for the family.
But he added: “I struggle with the manner he was welcomed into heaven.”
I think I can answer that. The population in the USA is now about 85% urban. So-called "farm states" have lower (percentage wise) rural populations than so-called urban states had 30 or 40 years ago. Technology marches on, even in agriculture. Corporate farms are far more efficient and big machines replaced a lot of people. Life marches on.
This building needs to be cleansed blessed, and turned into a memorial.
From your cited article:
“The service also drew 50 motorcyclists from the American Legion Riders, who honored Tiller’s service in the Navy. Their leader, Cregg Hansen, also from Derby, said Tiller’s family asked them to be there.
“We don’t get involved in politics,” Hansen said. “We’re here 120 percent for the veterans.””
Yep we’re all brothers, us veterans, and to hell with the murdered babies.
Turn it into a Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Don’t forget Lawrence, KS.
There’s only so much we can do. Are you saying one of us should have killed him sooner? They have abortion clinics in North Carolina too, you know.
So, in a state with restrictive abortion laws and a conservative population you got a progressive governor and abortion at will.
Corruption pure and simple.
I’m sure the left will turn it into a monument or museum.
Here in Kansas, the media is liberally biased too, which has been very effective at shaping opinions of too many voters. Take a look at the pro-Tiller coverage since the shooting. They have made him out to be the savior of humanity... really sickening.
Even a dark cloud has a silver lining...
I don’t believe Tiller is with God though, it was not
something he believed in or else he wouldn’t have done
what he did.
Abortion is Murder.
It’s that simple.
Burn it to the ground or make it in to a baby killing memorial.
Well, ain’t that a shame!
I would guess the building will be torn down. Too much conterversy to do otherwise. Not to mention the biohazard aspect.
I would rather build on a known Indian graveyard than have ANYTHING to do with this building.
It must have been something when Tiller met St. Peter at the pearlie gates trying to gain admission with all those aborted souls behind St. Peter.
“That’s one of the things that has always baffled me - how can a (supposedly) conservative, mid-western farm state allow this to occur, for so long. And how the heck did Sebelious ever get elected as Gov? California, New York, Mass., et al, I can see, but farm country?”
Here in Iowa there are entire sections of farmland with no dwellings. Going back less than 100 years ago there were often 12 to 14 houses per square mile.
The large rural population has been forced off the farm by technology.
LOL! I've always loved this allegorical situation. What would you have to say to St. Peter? Me personally, I'll be prepared for purgatory, but I pray that my late, great friend Bart left me a sixer near the Pearly Gates for my wait. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff stacked up near the gates, but I'll know that six pack is mine!
All of this aside, I don't applaud the actions of the assassin, but I cannot condone this man's actions. True evil is the one who takes life from the innocent.
Yeah, but none of the liberal media reports shows a picture of the abortion clinic.
Someone posted pictures of it a few days ago. It's really nasty.
I don't know if those figures are mostly the post-21-week abortions, because he did them on preborn babies of all ages, but post-21-week was his specialty, and there are only at most 3 or 4 individuals in the USA who will do them as late as he did, including 28 weeks and beyond.
He was 67 years and reportedly healthy and vigorous at the time he was killed, with no view at all of retiring. If he had 6 years' active abortion practice to be expected in his remaining natural lifespan, a conservative estimate --- well, as I said, that would be 10,000 babies.
I feel almost nightmarish to make such a calculation. It is simply mind-boggling, like what one reads of Pol Pot or Idi Amin.
Unimaginable. To be looking at the body parts you’re pulling out, the movement of the infant...and still move forward and kill him or her. Astounding.
How could one look himself in the mirror in the morning? How could you set foot in a church? Any church and pretend you’re a Christian?
I REALLY don’t understand. Unimaginable.
That's a truly great idea. Do you suppose there are any rich conservatives out there getting ready to make an offer on the property?
The man was a true ghoul. What kind of person would devote his life to murdering viable babies in the womb? These late-term abortionists are serial killers at heart, thanking their lucky stars that they can act on their compulsions legally thanks to Roe v Wade.
There’s already a pregnancy assistance center next door.
The “Choices” clinic is run by Family Physicians and a very courageous OB (a Dr. Calhoun). The clinic’s doctors have been leaders in the Nation in the development and practice of perinatal hospice.
The FP’s also sponsor elective rotations for Family Physician residents and for medical students.
A true light in the vicinity of darkness. Thanks for the link. Renews my hope in humans.
