The family of Dr. George Tiller announced today that effective immediately, Women's Health Care Services, Inc., will be permanently closed. Notice is being given today to all concerned that the Tiller family is ceasing operation of the clinic and any involvement by family members in any other similar clinic.

Dr. Tiller was shot to death May 31st. Scott Roeder has been charged with murder.

A statement released this morning said, "The Tiller family wishes to assure Dr. Tiller's past patients that the privacy of their medical histories and patient records will remain as fiercely protected now and in the future as they were during Dr. Tiller's lifetime."

Perhaps his family did not share his sinful ideas.

Perhaps they did:

"We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women's health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service. That is a legacy that will never die. The family will honor Dr. Tiller's memory through private charitable activities."

Thank God!

Praise the Lord. I hope that place gets the wrecking ball, or the drug-addled liberals will make a Shrine to Molech out of it.

I’m trying to nail this down:

Is it a good thing that Tiller is dead?

Is it a good thing that Tiller was killed?

Is it a good thing that Person X killed Tiller?

Did the killer do a good thing? A Godly thing?

Is it a good thing that the killer did what he did? A Godly thing?

You may be correct. I found this on LifeSite:

“”The family of Dr. George Tiller announces that effective immediately, Women’s Health Care Services, Inc., will be permanently closed,” stated attorneys Lee Thompson and Dan Monnat today. “Notice is being given today to all concerned that the Tiller family is ceasing operation of the clinic and any involvement by family members in any other similar clinic.”

The statement went on to praise Tiller’s “service and courage” and asserted that Tiller’s family would honor his memory through “private charitable activities.” “

I guess they consider the killing of pre-born humans a *service.* ;-(

A doc in CO claims he will carry on Tiller’s activity, if not his clinic.

Where there’s a buck to be made, someone will fill the gap.

Probably not. The last abortionist killed was like 11 years ago. More women die getting abortions than doctors die for giving them.

What you say is true, except that when it’s your neck on the line, you feel like your every move could be your last, even if that isn’t statistically realistic.

Is it a good thing that the killer did what he did? A Godly thing?

God can turn to good what was meant for evil.

While the act of killing Tiller may have been meant for good, it was still murder (perhaps--the argument can go both ways in my mind).

After all was it a Good Thing that Moses killed that Roman?
Was it a Good Thing that Judas betrayed Jesus?

I see a very likely severe backlash coming here. Pro-lifers will be further painted as “domestic terrorists” who “can’t be allowed to succeed by way of violence”. I see the distinct possibility that this will provide justification for this current administration to even more aggressively fund and support this barbaric sacrament. My concerns are not for those of us who are already born, but for the others. This could actually be very bad news. Has anybody else thought of that?

Yes, this silly idea has been considered and dismissed.
