Mrs Obama waves as she leaves the London pub last night

...The Audley pub in London's Mayfair has probably had its fair share of tourists from across the Atlantic.

But when First Lady Michelle Obama led her two daughters into the traditional pub for fish and chips last night even the normally unflappable staff were left gobsmacked.

Staff told...of their astonishment as Mrs Obama and her daughters Malia, 10, and eight-year-old Sasha traipsed into the bar....

Just a normal night down the pub: Mrs Obama can be seen through

“Aren’t those girls a little young to be taken to a BAR?”

Depends on what kind of a “bar” it is.

Actually, when I was young, there were neighborhood bars or taverns or whatever where the family could go. The parents might have a beer or two and the kids soft drinks.

The atmosphere was not such as to attract drunks or rowdies, at least not in the early evening. Don’t know about later on.

Is there still a post of the day contest...

I think she got up and said “I believe I’ll wear the kitchen curtains today.”

Should win hands down!

I understand the family paid for the trip out of their own pocket.

Well, I can’t see trying to make something out of this. I know that if *I* went to London, going to a traditional Fish & Chips Vendor or Shoppe would be on my agenda. And not as an after-thought.

I’d want the full experience if possible, with the fish & chips served up in newspaper, even! Every bit as much as seeing the Tower of London and the Beefeaters and the Crown Jewels. I’d feel cheated of a truly British experience if I came home without doing so.

I'm usually kinder than most with regard to Mrs. Obama's fashion style.

Can't do that here. What was she thinking?

She did not actually wear that. That was the tablecloth that got stuck to her shirt when she got up.

They party hearty while America burns..
The resentment that the Americans are starting to feel is going to boil over and soon. This is so in your face to the American public that there are just no words. The kids are not cute to me...they display a precociousness I don't like and they are developing a Superior I deserve this plush life. Makes me wonder what the parents have told them...”don't worry kiddies..in 4 years it will not be an inauguration for a second term. I am working on the designs now for our royal diadems..Daddy will be King, I will be queen and you two will become the first Princesses of America..”

Had to look it up. Potty mouthed Brits, LOL! Warning: adult terminlogy

(wiki)
Meaning
The term wanker originated from British slang in the 1940s, based on the verb wank.[1] Wanker literally means “one who wanks (masturbates)”. It is normally intended as a general insult rather than as an accusation. It conveys contempt, not commentary on sexual habits. Wanker has similar meanings and overtones to American pejoratives like jerk,[2] and jerk-off. One connotation is of someone self-obsessed or a show-off [3] Another implication is that the wanker is unable to find a sexual partner.

By the 1970s, the general meaning of wanker had shifted from its literal origin (as a masturbator) to that of a generic insult,[4] i.e. “a contemptible person”. This shift in usage is comparable with that of dick, arse or jerk.

Looks like she took a strong belt while dressing

She's usually wearing some bizarre looking outfit. Yet the drooling liberal media tries to make her out to be some sort of 'fashion goddess'. Speaking of 'strong belts', I'd say that belt she's wearing in the pic is pretty 'strong'. Ugly as **** too.

That black belt is from her dominatrix collection. Remember during the campaign the talk about the Obamas enjoying fisting. YUK!

I will say, in the ninth picture down (the part on the right), Michelle looks gorgeous.

I have never seen her look better and it's a candid. Whoever snapped that picture should be hired. The outfit is so goofy though.

I remember the nasty WaPo Style article after Chief Justice Roberts had his swearing-in. The whole thing went on and on about his wife and children's light color clothes, calling them "Easter eggs." Mrs. Roberts and both darling youngsters were wearing very traditional beautiful clothes. Any mocking articles about MO's ridiculous clothes? Of course not, because if she wears it, it is the style, by definition.
