Dallas Morning Newss Wayne Slater become one of the first pundits after the shootings at the Holocaust Museum on Wednesday to hint that there was a connection to mainstream conservative activists. On CNN Newsroom, about two hours after the story broke, Slater linked this incident and the murder of abortionist George Tiller with anti-tax secessionists in Texas, his label for Tea Party protesters.
Anchor Rick Sanchez moderated a panel discussion on the Holocaust Museum shootings after the bottom of the 3 pm Eastern hour of the CNN program....Sanchez asked the Dallas Morning News political writer if criminals like this suspect are motivated or do they need to be motivated? He replied, not including the shooting of Tiller, but reaching back to include the Oklahoma City bombing perpetuated by Timothy McVeigh:
SLATER: They absolutely need to be motivated and are being motivated. Each of these episodes in recent weeks- whether its [the] killing of an abortion doctor- whether it was this Holocaust denier today, or whether it was others- whether youre talking about Tim McVeigh or anti-tax secessionists in Texas- the interesting thing is theyre all separate, but theyre all hearing portions of the same echo chamber, a kind of dialogue- a toxic dialogue thats subterranean in large parts. Remember, the man who was accused- who is accused of the most recent shooting of the abortion doctor, according to his ex-wife, had connections with the Montana Freemen, a kind of wild radical secessionist group. You hear not only these conversations about blacks and Jews, but about the government and about other hate-filled issues. It is- although they are separate- they are connected by a kind of dialogue of toxic ideology.

And Keith Olberman killed Kennedy!
1990’s all over again. Wait for the next Waco.
Are they questioning conservative protesters’ patriotism?
Wayne Slater ! The last time I paid my subscription to the Dallas Morning News, I wrote FIRE WAYNE SLATER across the bill.
Apparently, they did not heed my suggestion. I may not heed their next request for money.
They’re already starting to smear conservatives...
They can’t round us up without a reason, so...
So then your toxic anti-war ideology is somehow responsible for that shooting of a soldier in Arkansas, eh?
Yes, and the murder of the young Marine in Little Rock can be laid at the feet of ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, NY Time, SF Chronicle and LA Times, as well as the democrat party for 8 years of lies and distortion about the WOT and our troops.
what a jackass
These “right wing nutjob attacks” do seem all too well-timed and “coincidental”, don’t they.
Confidential to Todd Schnitt, who is miffed at all the callers taking exception to the “right wing extremist” tag being applied to the shooter: See? This headline shows the blowback that ardent patriots attending the tea party rallies and other forms of peacefully exercising our Constitutional Right to Assemble face.
This guy was an extreme left-winger.
Journalism degree.
Film producer.
Hates Christians and Jews.
Truther.
He has D.U. nut job written all over him.
Check His background:
For those who don’t know, Slater was the one who brought forth Bill Burkett the man who provided the phony documents to Dan Rather’s editor, Mary Mapes as a credible witness despite overwhelming evidence that Burkett was a serial liar and basic. Since Slater works with Mary Mapes’ husband, Mark Wrolstrad, and since I had raised such a stink about Burkett to so many editors and reporters at the Morning News before Rather’s story broke, I have no idea how Slater kept his job.
He and I made peace one night during the time that Rather’s story was falling faster than Bill Clinton’s pants at a sorority party, and I sincerely believe that he was sorry for what he had done.

I immediately called after seeing this thread. I happen to be one of those tea party protestors and am very offended of the comparison he has made.
Guys, this must stop!!!
I KNEW IT, Amhed Gamal Hussein the right wing, no doubt Christian, gun nut !!!
The next good one will be when they accuse a Jewish guy of helping to plan the whole thing and loaning the shooter a gun from his Hock Shop stockpile. They do all run Hock Shops, you know. All of em’, they need boycotted, they need to be easier to identify in order to avoid their snares and tricks.
I hope HusseinO has a plan for that, something German would be nice, sort of put a sophistocated European flair on it.
Regards
He was a 9-11 “truther” who hated Jews.
That sounds like an Obama supporter, not a conservative.
This is a low tactic by liberals. Tarring everyone who disagrees with present policies by linking them to two nuts who are killers. Can’t they find a legitimate reason for defending Obama’s policies? Or is anyone who disagrees a crazy killer? In other words, can we talk about substance?
I don’t care what these people think. They are mere irrelevancies when measured against events to come. Yellow excretion be upon them.
When they find out he hated Christians, was a 911 truther and was a long time Democrat - this will be buried.
Watch.
I don’t think they want to round us up. Just smear us so that we can’t make a substantive argument. Typical.
