Doc plans to offer 3rd-term abortions in Kansas
Staff from Dr. Tiller's clinic may join the Nebraskan to help train others
Wed., June 10, 2009
OMAHA, Neb. - A Nebraska doctor says he'll perform third-term abortions in Kansas after the slaying of abortion provider George Tiller, even though Tiller's clinic is closed.
Dr. LeRoy Carhart declined to discuss his plans in detail during a telephone interview with The Associated Press, but insisted "there will be a place in Kansas for the later second and the medically indicated third-trimester patients very soon."
"I just think that until everything is in place, it's something that doesn't need to be talked about" in detail, Carhart said a day after Tiller's family announced his Wichita clinic was permanently shutting its doors.
snip
Carhart has run his own clinic in Bellevue, Neb. since 1985, but had performed late-term abortions at Tiller's clinic because of Nebraska's more restrictive abortion laws.
Nebraska law does not allow an abortion if the fetus is considered viable, or able to survive outside the womb. Kansas law allows abortions on viable fetuses after the 21st week if carrying the pregnancy to term would endanger the mother's life or cause a "substantial and irreversible impairment" of a major bodily function.
snip
Carhart said he has not performed any abortion past the 22nd week of pregnancy at his own clinic because he never trained his staff to do them.

I was shocked when I saw that Milwaukee has a Planned Parenthood Express. I guess that means we kill your baby in 30 minutes or its free.

I am not sure he will be following in Tiller’s footsteps since he will likely be with armed guards 24/7.
My guess is that his bodyguards will be well trained and will drop anyone who who attempts to kill the person they are protecting.

It amazes me that the Reddest states are the worst when it comes to abortion. How weird is that.

Well, wouldn’t that just mean that a shooter would have to take out the guards FIRST? I’m not recommending it! I’m just saying...

Why can’t he just do it from his state? If women travel from all over the world to have it done, whats the difference?

Bingo! Nothing more than a killer's "in your face" moment.

Kansas is cheaper to “buy” than other states.
It’s why Tiller set up shop here instead of, say, California.

It’s hard to believe that the little town of Bellevue allowed this baby killer to inhabit their streets.
