“LOL. Because of JONES’ poor performance?! Oh man, that is RICH.”

Your comment above is on target.

Jim Jones was my Company Commander at Camp Pendleton in 1969. He was a fine leader - and he had a lot to do with my becoming an officer. I watched his career over the next 28 years I was a Marine and even after I retired. General Jones has never performed poorly in his life. If there’s a problem brewing, I suspect it’s because the man has integrity, and he’s calling those who don’t have it on Obama’s staff. JMHO.

My brother, then a Capt with 2nd ANGLICO served with Gen Jones in Desert Storm. I think Gen Jones was a Col or BG. Said he was the greatest Marine he had ever served with. Came to by brother’s bedside at Bethesda Naval many times as Ted battled brain cancer for 9 years. Ted lost his battle in 2002. My mom’s arm was in his as Gen. Jones escorted my family and me to his grave at Arlington. I will be forever greatful to him for the time he took as the Comm of Marines to be with my family on that amazing day. He had tears coming down his face as he gave my mom the flag. He loves his Marines and his country. I pray nothing is done to dishonor his name and service.
