Last year columnist Mark Morford of the San Francisco Chronicle turned himself into a national laughingstock with his comical claim that Barack Obama was some sort of "enlightened being," a messianic Lightworker. Here is an excerpt from Morford's "Lightworker" column that gives you a taste of his worshipful unintentional humor:
Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.
Although such Obama worship was widely mocked, it now appears that Morford has returned to the comedy stage with yet more praise of the "Lightworker" in today's sanity-challenged column in which he claims that the "Age of Obama" has caused evil to be on the wane. First Morford reminds of the time when evil predominated in the world during the nasty Republican era:

Quite so. In fact, I have a hunch he's taken a goodly number of those right on the chin.

In fact, per two licensed psychiatrists I happen to know (old college buddies), Morford's obvious obsession with Bush and BDS is borderline "danger to himself and others" stuff. They have written him separately, desperately urging him to seek professional help.
Looks like Limbaugh was right about the difference.
“I can sum up my take on this fool in three words: bwaa ha ha. Does he get help feeding and clothing himself? What universe is he living in? No-doubt one involving a lot of recreational pharmaceuticals.”
I used to live in LA and had to associate with entertainment industry people because of my profession. You would be astonished at how many apparently functional people sound exactly like Morford.
An "Angel of Light", you might say. If you were speaking Latin, you might even call him a "lucifer".
“So I expect in The Age Of Obama (praise be his name) we will see a steep drop not only in Islamo-fascism and re-emerging communism but a huge decline in crime totals in the U.S. We shall also see gigantic gains by minorities who voted for Obama in academic pursuits.”
You’ve just given Morford several tests for his hypothesis. Of course, when the tests falsify his hypothesis, he will cite confounding factors such as the continued evil vibrations emitted by the likes of Christians and Ann Coulter, which prevented Zero from working his light.
I'll bet there's a sizable percentage of homosexuals, even in Frisco, who must regard Morford as an ignorant jerk. Undoubtedly thousands of homosexuals work for the "evil" corporations Morford rails against. The irony of thing is Morford depicting Obama as some sort of supernatural being while he, Morford, is an atheist. I doubt that he sees the contradiction. Any rational person must read Morford's observations about Obama and corporations and think that he's lost his mind. If he ever had one to lose.
