He moved to Florida to avoid NY State income taxes (and presumably for the better weather and less blue political climate). He has talked about how the NY Department of Revenue continually harasses him for income tax and he constantly has to prove that he is a resident of Florida.
My understanding... NYC and NYS consider him a resident as he still owns a condo there. I understand it’s on the market... now Robert(?)Golisano who once ran for NY Governor is Packing up and moving out also (I think he’s in top 10 as Rich in NY,NYC goes).. 3 more rich guys move out... and add in Nobama’s Nobonus, NYC gonna be totally bankrupt in 6 months....
