EU Presidency Statement concerning the Iranian Presidential elections (EU recognizes Ahmadinejad!)
EU2009 ^ | 14 June, 2009 | Milan Řepka

Posted on 06/14/2009 4:37:27 PM PDT by SolidWood

The Presidency of the Council of the EU closely followed the course of the Presidential elections held on 12 June 2009 and notices Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected for the second term as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Presidency is concerned about alledged irregularities during the election process and post-electional violence that broke out immediately after the release of the official election results on 13 June 2009.

The Presidency hopes that outcome of the Presidential elections will bring the opportunity to resume the dialogue on nuclear issue and clear up Iranian possition in this regard. The Presidency expects the new Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran will take its responsibility towards international community and respect its international obligations.

Bambi probably told them to do it. I think he’s a serious supporter of Ahmadinejad, who is best buddies with Obama’s idol, Hugo Chavez. The three of them don’t want to break up their own personal axis of evil.

Quote of the year. Nothing needs clearing up. "Israel will cease to exist," is not particularly vague and has few nuances to explore.

EU Presidency Statement concerning the Iranian Presidential elections (EU recognizes Ahmadinejad!)

Couldn’t expect anything different from them..., since they haven’t done anything about Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons...

This should demonstrate to the people of Europe that the EU is a useless fraud.

Europe is feeding off of the islamist plague gripping Iran, why wouldn’t they congratulate and legitimize their tyrannical rule?

Be fair. Theres not much else they can do, at least publically. A swinging attack on Iranian “democracy” will simply be used by “Ahm-a-big-bad” as further evidence of interference in Iranian affairs by the evil Westerners.

They should remain neutral and silent then! If they can’s support the rebels, they should stay out entirely.

Staying silent is tantamount to not recognising the regime, and therefore the election that spawned it, which would be used by the regime in exactly the same way.

I’m sure the dissident elements in Iran are being supported covertly. There are ways and means...
