Prediction [Mike Potemra]
Four years from now, Mitt Romney will be president of the United States.
My reasoning is as follows. Point One: The Obama team, while still basking in honeymoon-level approval ratings today, has pointed itself in a direction that will result in disappointed hopes for the American people. They have drastically overpromised, and their policies even if they are not outright disastrous will end up inciting more passionate discontent than passionate support. Point Two: The Republicans always nominate for president the candidate whos next in line, even if that person is deeply unpopular (e.g., the GOP bases hatred for John McCain did not prevent him from being nominated; he was the guy who lost to Bush in 2000, ergo ). In 2008, the runner-up was Romney. Add to that frontrunner status the fact that Romney has credibility on economics and budgeting, and hes the prohibitive favorite. Add Point One to Point Two, and the result is a Romney presidency.
A preemptive rejoinder, lest anyone dismiss this prediction as Romney propaganda: I supported McCain over Romney in 2008, and am nowhere near deciding whom to support in 2012.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, the modern GOP allows democrats to pick the nominee - so this prediction MAY not be funny.
I think he will make a great Sec of Treasury after the disaster called Geithner.
Don’t think he can win against zer0.

Oh, that really makes your conservative bona fides right there...
NRO might be better spelled RINO.
Is this a prophecy? (If so, I certainly hope it is a false one)
Lately, NRO has been speaking fondly of IN Governor, Mitch Daniels
God help us if he is.
From the frying pan right into the fire.
There is no doubt that we will be facing a fiscal crisis during the next presidential election cycle, and Romney’s reputation as ‘Mr. Fix-it’ will be a huge asset. Personally, I would support any Republican over the current socialist regime.
I might move to Canada if Romney is elected. One more RINO is not what we need.
Mitt had my vote before and still has it now.
I ignore the lies posted about him and the bigotry.
You do realize it wasn't I who made that statement, but the author of the article?
Which Mitt Romney? There must be 4 or 5 of them.
Reasoning? Another one who is terrified of the Palin Effect.
Rom, Huck, get outta here, they are like week old fish, just
like McCain.

The sheeple are catching on ... some will never get it some want communism.
Guy Smiley for President?
I don’t think so.
I hope not anyway...
He’s got a point about the GOP rending to nominate the “next guy” in line. Look at the disastrous nomination of Bob Dole. Only idiots thought he stood a chance.
Sadly, Obama will get a 2nd term. Only a year into that term will some wake up...but, it will be too late.
