My brother was killed by a drunk driver in Calif........by an under age hispanic kid.
Does UTenn have alot of behavioral problems? I’m not a college football fan, but when I think of thuggery, I think of either UMiami or USCal.
Unless you're an illegal from Mexico. Then the Mexican consulars office in Atlanta will get you off and sent back to Mexico.

Caused me to chuckle.
American "justice" for the rich and powerful
The pedestrian decided to cross after not seeing any cars coming. A drunk driver driving over the speed limit is definitely at fault.
I’ve tried without success to find some original reporting on the incident. I recall distinctly the TV video showing Stallworth’s car and learning that Mr. Reyes was leaving work at a construction site nearby and crossing to a bus stop. He wasn’t at the junction where the MacArthur Causeway ends on South Beach, but a short distance west at the construction site next to the Coast Guard station.
Initial reports from TV news crews on the scene emphasized the “tragic accident” angle of the case. Stallworth’s potential liability wasn’t mentioned until he failed the breathalyzer test, and police suggested he may have been speeding.
What you’re calling an “intersection” is an entrance/exit to and from the construction site. There’s a traffic light there, but not an intersecting street. We don’t know whether Reyes crossed with the light, or whether Stallworth blew the light. We know the unfortunate Mr. Reyes was hit and killed, but, again, I don’t believe he was hit in a crosswalk. If you have information to the contrary, I’ll be happy to retract my remarks.
FWIW pings...(below link added as a FYI.)

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Donte Stallworth began serving a 30-day jail sentence on Tuesday after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter and reaching a financial settlement with the family of victim Mario Reyes.
In two months, the receiver could be wearing a Browns uniform at training camp.
That depends on the discipline Stallworth receives from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and whether the Browns would welcome him back.
Goodell’s authority on these personal conduct matters is vast and the guidelines for discipline are purposely vague. Goodell has levied suspensions for as short as two games and as long as indefinitely.
“It will be reviewed under our policies,” Greg Aiello, NFL senior vice president of public relations, wrote in an e-mail. < /snip >
We all owe Michael Vick an apology.
Stallworth was headed westbound, leaving South Beach and going towards downtown Miami. The westbound lanes are on the north side of the MacArthur Causeway. Reyes's bus stop is also on the north side. Reyes's place of work, the construction site, is on the south side of the MacArthur Causeway, adjacent to the eastbound lanes. Between the eastbound and westbound lanes is a 36 inch concrete barrier. The video clearly showed evidence (clothing, etc.) that Reyes was hit close to the concrete barrier in the westbound lane.
Reyes was not in a crosswalk but had just hopped a concrete barrier when he was hit. Stallworth came around a bend a few hundred yards east of Reyes's location at a high rate of speed, and either Reyes didn't have time to jump out of the way, or he never saw Stallworth coming.
None of this is meant to excuse Stallworth. If he had been driving his vehicle at a safe speed and sober, Reyes would be alive today. But the facts do show that Reyes put himself in an unsafe location, and that mitigates in favor of Stallworth.
After fatally striking a pedestrian on the MacArthur Causeway in a March drunk driving accident, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth also tested positive for marijuana use, law enforcement sources say.Stallworth, 28, is serving one month in jail after pleading guilty last month to DUI manslaughter.
Miami-Dade prosecutors say his blood alcohol level was .126, well above the legal limit, when his Bentley hit and killed Mario Reyes, 59, on the morning of March 14.
