“he really hurt himself in debates by being a johnny one note on foreign trade.”
Oh, please, every day proves him right on trade. And he was a johnny one note in your mind only. Did you forget that Obama didn’t think much of our trade agreements either...didn’t seem to hurt him...you know that promise to review all trade agreements?

“He usually only had the chance to answer one or two questions the whole evening.”
If that. And they always stuck him on the end of the line in the debates where you could not see him.

I agree with what you wrote.
"
You have some pretty tough standards. LOL."
We know what to expect from Democrats: globalism that assists in building the military forces of foreign tyrants, feminism, etc. But as I compromised by voting Republican for so many years, the Republican Party moved increasingly toward supporting Hillary's efforts on all important issues. It stands against families, against needed defense measures and against American prosperity.
The situation has been pushed beyond the point of ridiculousness. "Forbes: I was in Colorado, and I knew people who had 200, 300 guns. And they'd stash them in various hidden places around their compound. This wasn't all that uncommon out west." [Intelligent Investing Panel, Going Great Guns, David Serchuk, 04.23.09, 04:00 PM EDT,
Forbes]
The people he was speaking of are obviously not us lower class "Neanderthals," but the political class is rather out of touch. And their headlines are hysterical. ;-)
From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 : Hysteria \Hys*te"ri*a\, n. [NL.: cf. F. hyst['e]rie. See
Hysteric.] (Med.)
A nervous affection, occurring almost exclusively in women,
in which the emotional and reflex excitability is
exaggerated, and the will power correspondingly diminished,
so that the patient loses control over the emotions, becomes
the victim of imaginary sensations, and often falls into
paroxism or fits.
[1913 Webster]
Note: The chief symptoms are convulsive, tossing movements of
the limbs and head, uncontrollable crying and laughing,
and a choking sensation as if a ball were lodged in the
throat. The affection presents the most varied
symptoms, often simulating those of the gravest
diseases, but generally curable by mental treatment
alone. Hysteric

Sorry, being right doesn’t change that Hunter was a johnny one note. It was disappointing because he had a lot to offer. And I couldn’t care less what Milhouse said. Has nothing to do with what Hunter didn’t say.

To be fair, I have had many people tell me being in the military is important for someone running for President.
They say: "You can't give orders until you've learn to take them"

Hey pissant! Rep. Hunter did ver well in the Texas polls, as well as a few other states. After the past six months, he needs to get out there to be heard and seen. It would help if he, as a Reagan conservative, would write a best seller on what has gone on behind the scenes in the Senate for the past 28 years, and include some of his more colorful vacations. I’m ready to go to work for him in a NY minute! Happy 4th!
