She couldn’t have been 16 years old the summer of 1960.

Why is everything such a mystery with these folks? (rhetorical)

LOL! That’s why I posted the date of birth. Looks like Billy (the terrorist) Ayres slipped up on his research...

Time to start looking at the Malcolm X timeline again. I think he was based out of Chicago in 1960.

I’m perverse, I’m thinking he should be found ineligible on the basis of a forged birth certificate...or better still, on the basis that his ‘father’ was a Kenyan and not a citizen of the United States. Better he’s ‘hung’ on a book full of lies.

Too many have bought the fairy tale of the ‘black prince’ -here’s what he really was:

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,839291,00.html

exerpt:

Malcolm X had been a pimp, a cocaine addict and a thief. He was an unashamed demagogue. His gospel was hatred: “Your little babies will get polio!” he cried to the “white devils.” His creed was violence: “If ballots won’t work, bullets will.”

Yet even before his bullet-ripped body went to its grave, Malcolm X was being sanctified. Negro leaders called him “brilliant,” said he had recently “moderated” his views, blamed his assassination on “the white power structure” or, in the case of Martin Luther King, on a “society sick enough to express dissent with murder.” Malcolm’s death, they agreed, was a setback to the civil rights movement.

Alias John Doe. In fact, Malcolm X —in life and in death—was a disaster to the civil rights movement.

Isn’t THIS an interesting tidbit of news? I do believe I read this on another thread but didn’t pay much attention to it.

Fact or more fiction added to the fairytale of BO’s and his family’s life?

I did not remember the December part, but I was just going to post that date December 1959 was the USA release date for Black Orpheus so...she had to have been in Chicago in 1960.

Through whom did she get to Chicago? friends of parents? or as FRED NERKS suggested, her uncle was there, so perhaps friends of his? do we have any proof that she applied to & was accepted at U of C?

In full agreement here as to the character of MX.

And the assassination just made the thug into a martyr, which is, in my opinion, just one more reason to pray for the safety of 0 and try to remove him by peaceful and lawful means.

Still, the resemblance and the timing is compelling. What if 0’s father on the sealed BC was “Little” prior to the adoption?

I totally agree.

What if 0’s father on the sealed BC was “Little” prior to the adoption?

somehow...I doubt that very much. If we are on the right track, the father's name would NOT be on an actual, genuine, birth certificate...issued at the time of birth.

Pinging again; check out the comments from #296 all the way to the end of the thread.

Rhetorical Questions.

Does this makes the case for Malcolm X much stronger?

-

The St. Lawrence Seaway (French: la Voie Maritime du Saint-Laurent) is the common name for a system of canals that permits ocean-going vessels to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the North American Great Lakes, as far as Lake Superior.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Lawrence_Seaway

-

When Stanley Ann Dunham discovered she was pregnant, did she board a Black Star Line Ship that sailed through the St. Lawrence Seaway, then crossed the Atlantic? Did she stay with the expat community in Ghana?

Remember her friend said Ann sent her a postcard from a ship... and then quickly changed her tune.

Was baby Barry born in Ghana?

.... just askin'...

Hmmm. Good analysis and questions posed here:

http://astuteblogger.blogspot.com/2009/09/did-stanley-ann-dunham-really-work-as.html

Did Stanley Ann Dunham really work as an "au pair" in Chicago - and if so, then when and who for, and why... And how?

  • Why Chicago? How did the Kansas-Washington-Hawaii chick wind up there of all places?!
  • What and who was her connection to Chicago, and who got her the gig?

well... er, um ... Frank Marshall Davis was from Chicago, and so was Frank's Caucasian wife - who came from an aristocratic Chicago family.

  • Did Marshall’s wife get her the gig?
  • Was it with the Ayers family - another aristocratic Chicago family?

According to the age Barack claimed Stanley Ann recalled she was at the time, it would have been 1958.

But:

Barack wrote that his mother told him she saw the great movie Black Orpheus while in Chicago working as an au pair for a summer.

One problem: the great film Black Orpheus wasn't made until 1959!

It was actually released in the USA in the winter of 1959,

So if she really saw the movie in the summer in Chicago - (I don't think she'd confuse a summer in Chicago with a winter in Chicago! Plus she'd have been in school in Hawaii except in the summer!) -

and since I think Barack is accurately recounting his mother's story (that she saw Black Orpheus in summer in Chicago - the summer she was an au pair)...

Then it means Stanley Ann Dunham was in Chicago in June-July-August 1960 and that's the summer before Barack was born.

She was 17.

Billy Ayers would have been 13.

  • Can anyone find out if Davis’s wife's family knew the Ayers family? (it's likely since both families were upper crust Chicago.)
  • Did Mr. and Mrs. Davis send Stanley Ann to Chicago to commune with their Communist comrades there as part of her "awakening"?
  • Perhaps there was actually no au pair job at all, perhaps it was cover story?
  • Was Stanley Ann indoctrinated that summer by people like Vernon Jarrett - Valerie’s father? And/or the Ayers?
  • Was the Ayers family a financial backer of the Chicago defender - the left-wing black newspaper that Davis and Jarrett both worked at?
  • Did the Ayers family back the South Side Community Art Center?

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

Here's one little blank filled in...Charles T Payne, Madelyn's brother, has been described as 'The Deputy Director of The Library at the University of Chicago'.

HE LIVED IN HYDE PARK.

Uncle Charles was at the U Of CH from 1960 until his retirement in 1995.

It (the movie) was actually released in the USA in the winter of 1959

The nude photos were taken around Christmas time.

Do we pay them overtime for working after hours? It really sucks when you stop and think that we are paying those trolls and posers employed through the DOJ.

“Black Orpheus” opened 12/1959.

I just checked the Chicago Tribune archives and while I don’t pay for articles, a search for “Black Orpheus” for the summer months of 1960, does come up with hits.

I think movies certainly did hang around in theaters for a much longer run time back then.
