Symbols of communism and marijuana and a prediction that "capitalism will fail" aren't exactly the sort of end-of-year messages you'd expect from an eighth grader.
But that's precisely what some students at the Black Pine Circle School, a private school in Berkeley, Calif., chose to include in their "Class of 2007" mosaic.
The symbols, which are prominently displayed outside the school, have prompted questions about the appropriateness of images like a hammer and sickle and a marijuana leaf on school grounds — and have led critics to say they are blatant proof of political indoctrination of young children.
Black Pine Circle bills itself as a day school where students from kindergarten through eighth grade will be "maximally free of all the 'isms' which pervade most aspects of the world around them: from racism to sexism to the less obvious forms of discrimination," according to its Web site.

Well, if the world became all communist/socialist I wouldn’t have to worry about it for long, because I would absolutely give my life fighting against it. Life with individuality and self-determination is not life. If the world did become totally communistic it wouldn’t last long anyway. All the leftists would just out scam/out lazy each other and civilization would fall apart.

My daughter was a math teacher for a private Catholic school in Texas last year. **All** of her fellow teachers and the principal voted for Obama and took every opportunity to show the students how thrilled they were that an abortion supporting black man was president.
There are approximately 220 future nut cases enrolled in this school.
It is a private school; parents who send children there WANT them propagandized even more than the public schools are able to do. It should be considered child abuse, but, hey, it’s a free country!

What morons. The marijuana trade is probably the last bastion of true free market capitalism left on the planet. That’s why Government wants so very badly to stamp it out.
