Redeeming the Rainbow:A Christian Response to the "Gay" Agenda
massresistance.org ^ | 6/25/2009 | n/a

Posted on 06/25/2009 6:36:30 PM PDT by massmike

This is possibly the most powerful book on confronting the homosexual agenda! For the past ten years, while lecturing and consulting on pro-family strategies in more than 30 countries, Dr. Lively has been writing the world's first textbook that teaches pro-family advocates how to defeat the homosexual agenda and reestablish family-centered culture in their respective nations from a Christian perspective.

This book is posted free to the public.

I use a completely different angle than Dr. Livesey. That is, I stick to the science, which says:

There is no genetic test or procedure (experimental or otherwise) that can determine sexual orientation. No credible scientist believes genes by themselves make us behave in specified ways. Influence of the genes are indirect. Genes create a tendency but not a tyranny. Identical twin studies show that neither genetic, family factors or environment are overwhelming.

Nature and nurture play a large part in who we are. Unique life events play a part in who we are as well. And some of those unique events are: seduction, sexual abuse, chance sexual encounters, or particular reactions to sensitive events. This is especially true if these life events occur in children.

Nobody is born with their same-sex attraction and anybody who thinks otherwise isn't familiar with the science on homosexuality. This is indeed a complicated subject...

“Freerepublic can start by adopting the rainbow as its new logo.”

Excellent. I like the way you think.

I also want the word “gay” back.

I am not inclined to download a 232 page thing. But I wonder if the author mentions the positive importance of good marriages as an antidote to the gay agenda.

Porn, fornication, casual divorce, adultery and negative stereotyping about nuclear families in our media all serve to push the homo agenda forward.

I would encourage everybody to at least read the introduction to Dr. Lively’s book. He has been a courageous man of God who has come face to face with totally demonic hoards bent on his destruction. Mere flesh couldn’t withstand the enemy’s onslaught that he has withstood - any strength would have to have come from above.

As I see it, this is quite a complex subject that cannot be easily understood due to bias, politics, misinformation and more.

As you've no doubt heard, gays have been claiming for decades they are born that way, yet there is no science to date that supports their claim. In fact, science has been quite hostile to the born that way theory. Every time we read or hear there's a new study that supports the born that way theory, even a cursory look at the study demonstrates the claim is bogus and the study has been misrepresented.

It must be said that even though homosexuals are not born with their same-sex attraction, we cannot infer they choose their same-sex attraction. As I said, this is complicated.

Here are some helpful links which you can find in my FR profile:

"Born that way" theory

What do clinical studies say?

How Might Homosexuality Develop? Putting the Pieces Together

New Evidence Found for Childhood Family Factors Influencing Sexual Orientation

"Homosexuality Is Not Hardwired," Dr. Francis S. Collins, Head Of The Human Genome Project

And gays can change as study after study demonstrates, true change is possible. Here are two very well known cases of gays who ran their own gay magazine but have now left the gay lifestyle:

Michael Glatze ‘Comes Out’ of Homosexuality: former ‘Young Gay America’ Magazine Co-founder

Venus Magazine —Charlene Cothran now uses her previously gay magazine to reach out to ex-gays

A lot more information can be obtained here, but many links are no longer working:

Homosexual Agenda: Categorical Index of Links

I hope that helps.

And you might point out the abject enmity that the homo-activists have toward those who have left the lifestyle and claim transformation. It is absolutely demonic in its magnitude. This hatred has no other equal. This is the biggest threat to the homo-activists' flimey house of cards - only one case of actual transformation from homosexuality to heterosexuality completely knocks the whole foundation from under their agenda.

You summarized the hostility gays have towards ex-gays quite well.

Some will say those who left the gay lifestyle were never gay in the first place, but who are they to say? What evidence do they have? Here is something I post on occasion:

There is no genetic test or procedure (experimental or otherwise) that can determine one's sexual orientation. When people claim to be gay and we believe them, what we're really doing is taking them at their word. We believe their claim, we believe their testimony and we believe their declaration that they are gay.

But there are some people who are suddenly skeptical when one claims to be ex-gay. They don't believe the ex-gay claim, they don't believe the ex-gay testimony nor their declaration that they are ex-gay.

When somebody uses a certain standard to measure the credibility of what one group says, but then refuses to use the same standard to measure the credibility of what another group says—thereby ignoring the claims of the second group (ex-gays)—he should ask himself why he believes one group and not the other... This is a double standard.

In light of recent news regarding Duck Dynasty, A&E Network & the Robertson family, I think this article needs a BTTT and an appropriate meme by Travis McGee.

I highly recommend downloading "Redeeming the Rainbow" before it is purged from the net by Obama's Rainbow Rangers.
