Carville: GOP Could Come Back Big in 2010

Democratic strategist James Carville has sent out an e-mail for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee warning Democrats that the GOP could rebound in 2010 and take over the Senate just as they did in 1994.

In 1994, Carville writes, "things were a lot like they are today. A young, exciting president. Big majorities in Congress. We figured we'd have plenty of time to build the America we wanted.

"You know what happened next. Fifty-four new Republicans elected in the House. Eight new Republicans elected in the Senate. Our moment of opportunity had passed.

"Republicans are hoping 2010 is the new 1994. But heck, they don't need eight new senators. If they gain just one or two, it's going to be that much easier for them to scuttle vital legislation."

Please. This is a fundraising letter meant to scare funds out of stupid Democrat donors.

The GOP in 1994 had guts, leadership and a plan.

The GOP in 2009 has none of these things.

Carville could help us with a new slogan for 2010:

"It's the stupidity, stupid!"
"It's the Marxism, stupid!"
"We're tired of wagging the wagyu!"
"There's no more wealth to re-distribute, stupid!"
"Cloward-Piven is SO 2008!"
"Obama needs to join the ash-heap of history along with the Soviet Union and Jimmy Carter!"

Wasn't but a couple of months ago that Carville was predicting Dem victories as far as the end of time.

I do think that Dems will have massive defeats in 2010 in the House. Not because of the GOP being better, but that the Dems have sucked more, especially these past six months (and counting).

Carville probably expects that our Tea Parties will send millions of young Conservatives into the streets and create the a similar kind of excitement that the protests in Tehran had..

Common sense has to take over the GOP before the GOP can take over anything else. I fear that can’t happen quickly enough to get us where we need to be in 2010. However, I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

Loose lips sink ships!!!!
Heck yes its the same as ‘94.

As a young campaign mgr in 1994 I was stunned. Never saw that before, have not seen it since.......except now. The people are turning and a whole lot earlier and this time is different with the groundswell via the Tea Parties.

If they pass cap and trade, it is over for the Dems in 2010, and probably 2012 as well.

“Wasn’t but a couple of months ago that Carville was predicting Dem victories as far as the end of time. “

And certainly, those victories would usher in the end of time.

How many Obama voters are reeling with buyer’s remorse?

How many Obama voters who saw nothing more than a black man to vote for to make them feel post-racist now see an America destroying bastard?

After Obama’s policies cripple the nation, how many of his voters will be screaming for his head? Democrats will elect the next Republican majority in the house.

We are not there yet. But remember how bad they were reeling in 1993.
